I replaced the original seat with the heated, lowered, pushed forward version after the 500 mile service. After the 200 mile ride home I put the original seat back on, it was more comfortable - although I did miss being closer to the handlebars. I was able to return the heated seat to the dealer last week and have the extended bars installed. The new bars work much better that the alternate seat. Yesterday the Black Beauty went into Russell's Day Long Saddles for a new seat. Tomorrow I get to seat on it , Thursday they cover it in new leather and Friday I get to ride again. Hope my tush appreciates the sacrifice I am making for its comfort. Be safe.

Good luck. Tried a Russell on my BMW last year.Even sent it back for a redo. Finally just sold the bike.

At least you didn't get hit for shipping.Hope you have better luck than I did.

I bought a Corbin, heated with backrest for my Chieftain.Couldn't be happier after 6000 miles.
