When backing my chieftain out of the barn I noticed that the fairing hits against the gas cap while hard locking the bars to the right. Plenty of clearance on the other side while hard locking to the left. I checked another chieftain (2014) at a dealership and a new 2015 Roadmaster and they both hit also.

I just looked at my 2015 Roadmaster and it does not hit, there is about a 1/2" clearance.

It may hit if you don't have the storage door for iPod locked tight. Check that it is flush under right side.

I checked and it is closed tight. I have at least 1" clearance on the left side. Definitely hitting on right. If I slide a piece of paper over the gas cap and turn bars all the way to the right it will leave an impression on the paper.

Strange that some hit and some don't.
