Hello everyone,
I am new to the forum and glad to see that we have other Indian Lovers. I was wondering if any one has found a lift jack that will work on the Indian? I do not have room for a full table lift, and on other motorcycles I have had I just used a lift that fit under the engine area for cleaning the wheels and so forth. Since there are lines that run under the Vintage, I guess I need a special lift platform.

I am also looking for a motorcycle Cover, I have tried 2 different types and none where big enough, is there any company that are making one for the Vintage?

Thanks in advance

Wes

Welcome to the forum, indi!

I haven't heard anything about a special lift yet, but I'll be keeping an eye out now. Let us know if you find something!

I use an aluminum Crewline motorcycle jack. Sears sells one just like it, when lifting my Indian I use hard rubber furniture cups at each corner to keep from pinching the brake lines that run along the right side of the engine. I bought it about 6 years ago and use it on both my Vision and Indian. I think it cost around $260 back then at Sams Club.

Pepboys has a similar jack but it has a lever like a NASCAR jack, so you don't have to pump with your foot. The pressure is removed by twisting the lever. I found it more stable just due to this difference.

No, that isn't the one. That link shows one with the foot pedal. I almost killed myself with one of those.

I don't see it on the Pep Boys site, but I will take pics tomorrow and see if I can find it online.
