Oh I'm in trouble. just looked at the Indian website, pricey, but gorgeous. the color schemes for the chief vintage not to my liking, that is an easy fix. a satin kelly green and white would look banging on one. i'd like to see them bring a scout out.

After looking at these bikes I have to say ,I like!
After seeing the price , What a bunch of leaches!
I really though more of Polaris , I guess I was wrong.
What a disappointing outcome to what might have been an incredible resurection!
Get out of town Polaris you suck on the pricing just another HD want to be!

Pop,

You have to keep in mind Polaris really hasnt touched these vehicles yet. They put out the three models identicle to the old models just to give the Indian dealers something to sell while they do R&D. I would expect to see the price a tad lower on this model and a bunch lower on the upper models next year. But I can tell you one thing, there is not another production bike I have seen with this quality of fit and finish.

I sure hope you are right as in my opinion they have an incredible opportunity to excel here and not to just the elite! This line could go places with it's heritage . no pun intended.Just ,Polaris don't insult our intelligence, there not

Why such a big deal about a pre-Polaris bike? The "dark horse" with the bottle cap engines where part of the bikes from the company Polaris purchased to get the Indian name. All of these bikes where over priced. I am sure a Polaris built bike would have the thunderstroke 111 and a much more reasonable MSRP

I would bet that Polaris will do a dark version of the new chief's at some point. What I don't understand is why the pre Polaris bikes, with their outrageous prices keep getting confused( for lack of a better term ) with the 2014's.

No probs man, those Blackhawks are KM variants with small windscreen and hard saddlebags. They had a one year run (2011). I've seen them both in person, cool bikes but not my thing with the bags & windscreen.

You had the cream/black/red lettering for the Blackhawk:
2011 Indian Chief Blackhawk – Used 2011 Chief Blackhawk at Motorcyclist Magazine

And the black/red letters/striping for the Blackhawk Dark:
2011 Indian Chief Blackhawk Dark – Used 2011 Chief Blackhawk Dark at Motorcyclist Magazine

Compliments on your Chieftain, those are sweet machines!

LUCKY

Take a 2015 Classic add Gregory Polaris and $5K and you can have one. I'm not associated with them but they did the custom paint on my Vintage. Very good at what they do. Just sayin'.

mncp8r,

You're right!

FYI- for those numbers you mention, you will pay what I have in my original Dark Horse.

Let me be clear, I think the new ****** are top notch! They are AWESOME machines.

Don't be mistaken though, I LOVE my Dark Horse.

I've seen several of the Gregory Polaris Arkansas dealer custom builds. . .highly impressive.
