I have a 2015 Classic. This weekend I had a Check Engine message show of my LCD message screen on my tank. I can toggle 6 or so different readouts. It only showed up on the one that lists my total mileage. None of the others.

I noticed it when I was getting gas (before turning bike off). I restarted and saw the message again. I continued riding out in the country for about 1 hour. I got to my stop and turned off the bike. Had some lunch and when restarting the bike, the message was gone.

This was my first ride since having a 15,000 mile oil change from the Indian dealer.

The bike ran fine. Any ideas?

I used the term "warning light" in the exact same sense as "check-engine" light. It warns the rider to check things out and that the bike electronics logged some sort of anomaly. Sorry if that was confusing, was not intended to be.

I had a check engine lite show up once. Problem was loose battery cables.
