I bought a 2017 Scout and it has the OEM pipes, but it's louder than I expected. Is there a way to tell if it's been drilled or had baffles removed? I know next to nothing about modifying pipes. I tried looking down the pipes with a flashlight, but couldn't see anything. A 1/4" dowel rod goes in about 30".

Shine a light into the exhaust. If you see a hole on the other side it has been modified. Mine in modified, I'll try to take a photo of it in a minute.

Someone already cut through the baffle partitions. The wood dowel would go maybe 6-7” in to the first chamber/partition, then 12-14 “to the 2nd part that also contains the catylic converter honeycomb. My dimensions maybe off some but if you can go 30” in means it has been drilled out w/a hole saw.

How do they sound opened up? I have been debating on drilling mine out.
