The Indian Scout requires you to remove the seat in order to access the battery and fuses. You also have to remove it in order to remove the gas tank to service the air filter. So this is something that you do often enough. However, there is a problem. The rubber gasket that is at the front of the seat and fits over the the front stub gets ripped out as you pull the seat up. You can put it back in placed several times, but then it will eventually tear in two. Now you you have to order a new one from your dealer. It is easy to fix. This video shows you how to file down the metal stub and make it go on and off easier. Hope it helps.
