Bought my 18 Chieftain Limited new in November 2018. This is the longest I’ve kept a motorcycle. I have 32,000 miles and no problems besides a couple of recalls. I plan on attending some demo days this summer and riding a Challenger.

This is starting my 8th year of riding my 2015 black Roadmaster which I purchased on the 20th of Febuary 2015. My wife and I ride two up near about all the time when the weather is to her liking and I ride every day if its not raining or snowing. Some of you tribe members know of Lake City Larry ,or have at least heard of him and the mileage that he has accumulated on his Indian which I have to say has set the standard for this machine, One day I hope to catch him but at my age it will be doubtful, rest assured I enjoy every mile I put on my RM. Currently at 109.000 thousand issue free miles and spring is blooming here in the Carolina's! RIDE SAFE!

I'm kind of embarrassed here to say this...... 13k miles! I made my trade(09 ultra classic) for the Roadmaster in Nov of 2014. Brand new 2015 sitting in the back of the dealership, right in line with the front door, all kinds of other bikes, rides there- but they put that red roadmaster right there on purpose. I didn't like the red, we had stopped there on the way to poopy's(bar & grill, tattoo shop). Went home, knew a guy that had a Chieftain, let me take it for a spin during noon hour at work(loved the power & ride). Called the dealership that afternoon & got on the list for the next one coming in to the dealership, received a call on Wednesday the next week & said they got a black one in, put 2k on the CC as hold, went up Friday with the misses, went for a ride & she beat the hell out of me to get back to the dealership to purchase. 36 flippin degree 2hr ride home with heated seats & grips. So at 8yrs 4mo- still love it, best decision I ever made since my bad decision in late 70's trading my triumph.

Don’t be embarrassed ! I never mind how few miles I have on my bikes.! Important thing is they are there in the garage ready when I am! At least that is what I tell my wife about my bikes and Ford mustang when she questions my sanity!
When my wife complains about my motorcycle habit I tell her I can spend 10 grand a year on a psychiatrist or 10 grand a year on bikes. After all you'd see a shrink because you're depressed and have no friends; a motorcycle tends to fix both issues.
My '17 Roadmaster was my retirement gift to myself-what the heck would I do with a gold watch?

As a fairly new proud owner of a super chief limited and a road master limited, I was wondering if some of the long time members on this site could talk about how long they have owned an Indian Bike. Curious if any families have 100 year old bikes or older which are still in use or restored?

I plan on keeping my collection long term and will enjoy every mile I can! I only wished I lived in a warm climate 365 days a year!!

Thanks for any input on this topic.
owned & been riding Indian since 2018. i started off with a new Scout 60... kept that for a year and then traded it in for a new 2019 Chief Dark Horse that i still own. before i got into Indian, i owned a new harley FXR and as much as i loved that harley, in my opinion, Indians are far superior in many ways.

I’m a proud owner of Indian Motorcycles since 2002 when I purchased my black and cream Roadmaster. I still have it with 72,000 miles. I purchased a 2014 Chieftain and put over 60K miles before I traded it in for a 2018 Chieftain. Still have that one. I bought a Challenger in 2020. I normally ride by myself so I require a reliable motorcycle and Indian has proven itself!
