History Buff needed : Burt Monro

So part of the Burt Monro legend is that Indian adopted many of his modifications in future models after he went to bonneville

I know his most important modification to his 1920 indian was changing from side cam to overhead cam.

Does anyone know details about indian and burt monro’s work on the scout? Did indian adopt his modifications and if so, what is he responsible for that indian used or still uses

I don't see how this was possible. Munro set the record in 1967. The Sprinfield Indians were long gone by then and the 60s were only bastard Indain that were Royal Enfields rebadged. 1960-1998 are the dark years for Indian. Folks selling different pieces of the legacy, copyrights, and trademarks, etc. etc.

It was until 1998 that all those bad decisions got straightened out...
