If it's anything like the S60 then there is some disassembly/re-assembly of the foot controls involved to get them mounted. I let the dealer handle it.

has anyone installed highway bars on a Scout Bobber? Is it difficult?
Hi Val,, it’s basically 3 bolts for each side. 2 on the bottom and one on the top. The 2 on the bottom are the forward controls bolts,, the top one is a 11 or 12 mm bolt , So,, with basic tools, sockets and wrenches and maybe some help ( a third hand ) two people can install The bars very easily. Every family has a mechanic to help or show how it’s done. Ask a friend to help,, OR,, buy the crash bars, take it to the shop to have it installed.
