HEY Larry Big Diddy here just got back on this site after a few months of workung on some of my 4 wheel autos.riding of course in the mean time. My wife and I just got back from a 2500 mile trip up to Michigan and back. The clock on the RM reads 92,423 worry free miles. You are setting the bar for all of us riders of this brand motorcycle and your to be commended for your endurance! Well done. Enjoy your retirement and keep on racking up those miles. All is well here in eastern NC. Mike
Thanks for your kind words, Mike, did you have good weather during your vacation ride? Another 7,000 miles and you’ll have your RM broke in ! We’ve had a drought most of the summer but got 5 inches in 2 days recently. Keep riding!! Larry

As of today I have a little over 23,000 miles so far on my 2020 Challenger. It dawned on me that the combined mileage of the three Indian motorcycles that I have had since April of 2014 is now just over 100,000 miles. My 2014 Chieftain had over 39,000 miles when I traded it for my 2017 Chieftain and that had just over 38,000 miles when I traded it last year for this Challenger.

I got my 2017 Chieftain Sept 2017 as a birthday gift to myself. Now me and "Sara" have just under 40k miles and a number of cross-country trips. We added , "Monsoon" to our family this year and have about 9k pulling her. View attachment 648076
That’s a nice set up you got there, very capable and dependable, thanks for sharing your great photo !

Milage issue I have is that my Chiftain wants to go, go, go. Rolled 40,000 on Sunday. Purchased it in March of 2018, still have another 6 to 8 weeks of riding in Northern Minnesota. View attachment 649012
Ouch…..I bought mine same as you and only have 22k
I’ll hit 10k for this riding season before I tuck it in! Averaged 5-6k a year before this season. Way to go hitting that many mines

53,000 miles on a numbered (813) 2014 Chieftain. I used to do 10k per year. Slowing down. View attachment 650659
Your Indian Red 2014 Chieftain is still one of the most beautiful iconic motorcycles ever built !! The styling and the lines on that bike are a perfect blend,,,,,,,, not to mention the power, sound, handling, suspension, braking, dependability and longevity !!! Larry Swenson

Congratulations on your milestone ! Many years ago we never even dreamed a motorcycle could reach 100K miles without an overhaul or constant adjustments, particularly the common trip with a homemade trailer to go get the broken down bike back home. It was a common occurrence to see an abandoned bike on the roadside years ago, now when a bike is on the roadside its owner is probably using their smartphone ! I was one of the many owners that left my bike on the roadside back then ! Riding is much more enjoyable now when we have dependable bikes and cellphones for emergency services. Hope you have many more miles of enjoyment to come ! Larry

Left this morning at 5:30am for a nice 12 1/2hr, trouble free ride. She never lets me down and runs better than new. Closing in on 74K miles. Compared to Larry, my '14 Chieftain is not even broken in yet but compared to my Harley friends, it's amazing! :)

Maybe some of your Harley friends are silently wishing they had a Chieftain too ! That 111 motor is built like a tank and you’re right that it gets a little stronger with age. That engine was built and tested for longevity,,,,,, I am still testing mine ! Keeper going Bam Bam ! Larry
