This bike just don’t know when to quit,,,,,,,,, and neither does its owner !! 40 years ago I never even dreamed an air cooled motorcycle could reach this kind of mileage without multiple mechanical repairs. I’m thankful to have experienced this in my lifetime. Ride safe and enjoy life everyone ! Larry Swenson View attachment 640741
Wholly shite! Any chance you're going to Indian Bike Week? I'd like to have you "bless" my '14 Chieftain!!!

I have a 2014 chieftain that I bought new 2015 Feb but wasn't able to ride until late March due to having two broken legs from a previous motorcycle accident. I have 30,700 miles as of today. View attachment 149121
I'm at 116,000 miles now, well about 40 miles or so.
I have no complaints on this great bike from Indian Motorcycle, it runs a lot better than I do!! View attachment 633478
that is so awesome to know I've still got plenty of miles to go. My 2014 chieftain is at 116,000. You are my inspiration

In 2014, I also broke 2 legs...with a black bear collision.
Dead Road King and dead bear.
53,000 + miles on 2016 CDH and
15,000 + miles on 2020 Challenger and counting.
But not like Larry!
He is the mileage King!

Thank you all for your kind words ! I’m fortunate to have had this hobby of motorcycling for 53 years now and have never grown tired of it, it’s the only hobby I’ve had since I was 15 years old. I’ve managed to make time for riding even when I held 2 jobs at the same time, I just didn’t watch TV hardly at all or sit down to eat much ! I used to ride around my work schedule, now I work around my ride schedule ! All you riders out there, make time to go riding even if there is no destination,,,,,because just riding can be your destination! My grandfather always told me,,,, life is shorter than you think it is. Larry

2015 Chieftain. I wish I had more than 2 weeks vacation a year but I am managing at least a few miles (50k). But it's kinda embarrassing compared to some here, lol.

I admire your persistence in life from the long term effects of war. Thanks for sharing and also your service to our country, I have many friends that have suffered side effects from Viet Nam as well as other wars. You have fought the battle of life and managed to have saved the best bikes till last ! My grandpa always told me that life is shorter than you think it is. Well done Kawliga ! Larry Swenson

Have you taken any of your other bikes up this high in miles? I seen a list once of your previous bikes/miles but I can’t remember if any of the others have been this high
I had a 2007 Honda ST 1300 that got to 343,000 miles before I sold it, that’s the closest mileage bike to my current 2014 Indian Chieftain. Both bikes gave me very little trouble, just some electrical gremlins once in a while, which is common for a lot of bikes with high mileage. My Chieftain is definitely the favorite for me !

Outstanding Larry, oh my goodness that's just incredible! I'm betting you hit 418k+ before Winter settles into Minnesota!

Keep pounding out the miles Sir! =)

The weather always seems to regulate what and how much we do with our outdoor activities. I guess bad weather always has a way of reminding us all to be appreciative when it’s nice outside ! Kinda like when we’re sick, we feel so much better when we are healthy. Thanks for your kind words and stay tuned to this channel for further updates Kost !! Larry Swenson

HEY Larry Big Diddy here just got back on this site after a few months of workung on some of my 4 wheel autos.riding of course in the mean time. My wife and I just got back from a 2500 mile trip up to Michigan and back. The clock on the RM reads 92,423 worry free miles. You are setting the bar for all of us riders of this brand motorcycle and your to be commended for your endurance! Well done. Enjoy your retirement and keep on racking up those miles. All is well here in eastern NC. Mike
