I am trying to change out the rear footpegs with rear foot boards on my 2000 chief. I used the allen wrench and removed the pivot screw but the peg will not come out. Is there something else I am missing to pull the peg out of the bracket? Thanks for any help you can give me.

I did the same thing back in 04 on my 2K Chief. Those pegs become almost frozen, I finally gave up and took it 2 a bike shop. They had the tools to unfreeze them and they even said it was a bittch. But it's totally worth changing them out, Good luck.

Thanks brother for the info. Don't happen to know what the tool was they used? I'm looking forward to changing them out tired of cleaning the rubber off the tail pipe under the peg. LOL

No, I have no idea what tool was used. My mechanic though was Big Joe, that should tell you something. I think he just used brute strength and a bar for leverage.
