Welcome to the forum! Couldn't you just have them powdercoated?
BTW, I know the Bakken well. Worked all around Watford City, Williston, Sydney, and New Town when I worked in the oil fields out there before the oil prices dropped.
Should be able to get them powder coated for $10. Keep in mind where you park it - or might - on trips. Every time I’m tempted to powder coat brake / clutch levers, I think about the TN summer when I go to get on my bike after work and they’re almost too hot to use. Black might suck. I’d like to hear from someone who has done it.
I had the levers on my Raider powder coated black about 5 years ago. Never had an issue with heat and they still look as good as when I first had them done. I'm in the process of having the Dark Horse levers powder coated too.
Welcome to the forum. I believe Indian Motorcycle makes black levers that can be purchased. Not sure what your budget is but they retail $149 at the dealers or you can order on-line. Powder coat the ones you got would be cheaper.
