Ok, so I've searched out great forum until I'm cross and blurry eyed. All that I'm able to find are threads on Indian brand bars, nothing really aftermarket. So I called Wild 1,they manufacture the "Chubby" bars, and they told me they don't make bars for Indians. The reason why is due to the way Indian's switch housings are designed. Apparently, they have some type of proprietary design different then most other manufacturers.

So...the reason for this thread is I'm trying to find more comfortable handlebars for my Vintage. I'm looking for something along the lines of mini apes.

What are we all using for handlebars?

Wild 1 is full of crap. There's no proprietary design in drilling a guide pin hole for the switch assembly. They simply don't want to do it.
Dirty Bird, Trask, and Klockwerks managed to figure it out.

I had a dilemma with my Springfield bars, as well. First off, I'm 5'7" and 33" sleeve. I went with Indian's pullbacks when I had my Chieftain, but with the Springfield they didn't work, especially after I had my Corbin seat installed. So, I sold my Springfield bars, took my old take-offs from my Chieftain that I had laying around, bought another take-off set from a forum member for a good price, and had my local shop cut and splice them to my specs. Then had them chromed. Put on a 2" over Barnett clutch cable, as well. They are now perfect and great wrist angle. If I hadn't gone this route, I probably would have chosen the Prairie Bars. Good luck with your decision.

Been looking for the right set of bars since I got my '14 Vintage, back in 2013. Stock were too short and the pullback have an angle that bothered my right wrist. Finally installed the Springfield bars over the winter and solved the right wrist problem. But now the upper left arm is getting a cramp after a short ride. Have adjusted the bars to just clearing the tank to mostly all the way up. The further up I went, the better the left arm felt. I haven't had them this way for very long, so school is still out on whether this will work long term. They almost look like a mini ape like this. I would have thought that the reach would be a problem with them set like this, but the Springfield bars are 33" wide compared to the pullback, which are 37" wide. I still have a slight bend in my elbow and have no problem with full turns.

The pics show how this looks. Also, I pulled the shield back so you can see the mod I had to do to the shield bracket. I had to cut/file out that curve you see in the bracket, for the bracket to fit around the handlebar. Not sure if this helps, but hoping it works for me.

That is a beautiful bike. Did you have the tank pinstriped like that? Do you have any pictures of the whole bike and whatever else you did to it?
