GPS/SIRIUS-XM Satellite Combo

Yes, I have searched the forums. No, I don't want to use my phone with Bluetooth. I often will be in places like the Texas Hill Country and not have signal for days on end. I see that Garmin had the Zumo 65LM but it is discontinued (Has all of my requirements). I have looked at several others but can't find the water proof/resistant combos that I can connect via Bluetooth.

Here are my requirements:
GPS
Sirius-XM Radio
Bluetooth connection
PC ride planning/sharing
Lifetime Map updates
Inconspicuous antennae/puck
Hardwired Power
Handlebar mount with quick release

If you use a device like this I would love to hear about it.

Thanks in advance

I recently purchased a new 665 on ebay for $225 complete with ram mount, car mount etc
I would like the same thing and have searched high and low and found nothing. The suggestion of a 665 leaves off the XM radio part I think. Or at least I sure missed it. I've been trying to use my phone for XM with a 660 GPS but it really falls short. Doesn't anyone make such a device ???
Hi

In my wing days I had amsirius radio installed on my bike for years. The company Electrical Connection make a power interface for bikes and I used a ram handlebar mount for the head unit. Search eBay as there were several older units that did not use a dock, everything plugged directly into the unit and it was tiny. At that point you can use the units FM modulator for interface to the bikes radio. There is a company that make a sat radio antenna with a 1' antenna lead as the car version is like 20 feet long and you can't cut and splice it. There is also,a company that makes an antenna mount that you can attach to the radio mount making it a very clean installation

The zumo option kinda sucks as the xm part of the system is contained in the antenna and it is huge

I have had the Garmin Zumo series for years. Currently have the 665 which has xm radio built in.

In my humble opinion, the Garmin gps is the best. I have tried Magellan and Tom Tom but didn't feel that

they were as user friendly as the Garmin Zumo series is. Expensive, but well worth it. I love the XM feature.

Find a good price, buy it and never look back.

I'm confused. Is XM and Sirius XM the same thing or 2 different things? My car has Sirius XM so if you have this 665 with XM can you get this Sirius stuff as well on it?
Sirius and XM were separate companies and merged in 2008. However the satellites and receivers use different compression/coding methodologies and use different frequencies so the radios are incompatible with each other. The total programming on the two are the same but you have either an XM receiver or a Sirius receiver (different car brands have either XM or Sirius). Some of the channels available with their various "package plans" are different on the two systems, but the "standard plan" is the same on both. SiriusXM also streams on-line programming that can't be received via either receiver so technically there are three separate services.

I also have the Garmin Zumo 665LM with XM radio and love it. Even though Garmin has discontinued this model if you search around on the Internet you can still find vendors selling new units.

That's one thing I don't like about the Ride Command system on the new Indians is that they don't yet offer an XM radio option. Doesn't work for me as I listen to XM radio most of the time when riding.

I also have the Zumo 665 with XM, and I love it too!! No matter where you go, you will have the music you want. No searching for an FM station every 50 miles.

I just ordered a new "discontinued" unit today. The only reason is to get XM. I have a perfectly good 660 unit. Guess I'll have it up for sale at some point. Certainly can't use two of them on the bike. But that discontinued bugs me.

My buddy has a Snap xm on his bike and it works great. You can connect it by fm tuner and it is clear with no static like the old models or use the adapter sold on this forum and plug it in for a direct link to the bikes radio system.

Then you would be able to just use a regular zumo gps .

4,252 songs on my iPod to play in shuffle mode and Google Maps with offline maps for Navigation is all I need.

If you want a 665, search for Road Tech 665 as well. It is Harley branded but is the same Zumo 665 by Garmin. Many Harley dealers still have them brand new. I've had mine for five years now.
