Not 100% sure, but removal of this emission control device may void your warranty and may possibly have issues with states/countries that require yearly vehicle emission testing for registration renewal. As a note, I know the owner may do whatever they want, but a dealership or repair shop can not remove/modify the canister or any other emission control device.
Not here in FL. Nor do we have vehicle emission inspection stations. The least Indian could have done was put a tactful/aesthetic looking cover over it. [bag][facepalm]
