After years of trying, the wife climbed on the back of the scout and went for a ride. We went to a small diner a few miles up the road to have something to eat. It's a start!

Wonderful.
I really envy you and the others whos wife rides with them.
Even better if they ride their own bike.
My wife used to ride with me everywhere all the time.
Even when I met her Dad and he let her go out on our first date on the bike.
But 3 kids later and shes not interested anymore. But the situation is still positive that she doesnt mind what I ride or own and when I ride.
Make the ride for your wife interesting and she will go again especially if she is a new rider.

My wife used to ride as a passenger.
She no longer does and I'm glad of it. She has her own Scout and has had a GoldWing and a 1700cc Roadstar.

Better to ride solo.
