I over-torqued one of the mounting spools and bent the fender, it’s got a dimple in the shape of the spool. Can it be malleted out, or do I have to replace it?

I’m not going to do it myself, no need to make it worse... I just need to know who to bring it to.

I think it should be fixable, it's worth a shot at least. In my experience the fender (and the paint on it) are very flexible.

Any paintless panel repair shop should be able to deal with it easily. I had to cut a small piece out of the bottom edge of the fender on my Scout and it cut with no trouble. The metal is easy to work.

Thanks guys. Turns out there is a PDR place just down the street.

I don’t care about the paint so much, as that will be under the spool, but the dent really bugs me.

Installing the bags was so easy i figures adding the spacers to the spools would be easy too. Wrong!
