Extreme Heat from my Power Plus

Hey all, wanted to see if anyone has had this experience. I’m on a road trip from the DMV to FL, stopped in GA. For the last 4 hours of my trip today I experienced extreme heat coming from the engine. This was not just a cloud of hot air around the engine, it was like a blow dryer on max blast! Has anyone experienced this? I’m at 20,000 miles, all recommended maintenance has been done, including the latest factory ECU flash. This heat was so powerful, so consistent, and so unpleasant that I had to ride my bike without my mesh jacket for the first time ever. The heat emanating from the engine was so strong, losing the jacket didn’t even really make a difference. It’s so bad that I’m wondering if I should leave the bike with Indian Daytona and fly home. I seriously almost passed out. 🤣 Sure, it was a very hot day today, but I’ve ridden all my bikes in high temps/high humidity, and I’ve never experienced anything like this!

Any feedback?

I forget who mentioned this trick here, but I just hit the kill switch when at a red light or stopped in traffic. The heat can’t build if nothing is burning.
I took my closeouts off at the beginning of Spring. Those closeouts are amazing in cold temps, but murder otherwise! Curious to see how Pursuit owners like their lowers in July! 🤣
Same here, it's got to be down in the low 60's for me to consider it. Also, those buttons are a PITA.
Here’s my 2 cents worth about heat- I’ve logged roughly 90K miles over the last 7 years, mostly in Texas. Have taken a couple of rides out to Utah, same for Arkansas.
Used 3 bikes to gain that mileage: Octane 23K, Chieftain 51K, and as of today 18K on a Challenger.
….As strange as it sounds I have found riding in insulated pants ( insulated blue jeans) makes the Texas heat bearable. In fact, that’s what I wear year round.

Ok, I have to know... what kind of insulation? I've got insulated jeans but they have a fleece lining. They're great for the winter but when it gets above 55 or so, I ROAST.

I have a pair of Wrangler (RIGGS workwear), pants are 100% cotton while the liner is 100% polyester.
Also a pair of Carhartt (b172 OST), both jean and liner are 100% cotton.
I don’t sense any difference in the two (functionally).
