Good luck n have fun
The new GoPro Hero 6 stabilizes better than any camera I have seen for $500. I made a mount that clamps any where on the bike. There is always vibration and jolts from bumps. If you watch the camera bouncing you can't believe it will look ok. The GoPro 6 is the way to go. Don't try to save money by buying a Hero 5 or Yi 4K, etc. I research a lot before I bought this. I had planned to get a 3 axis stabilizer and mount it on the bike also, but I don't need it. The 6 works killer. Of course the Mavic Pro is also amazingly stable. Here is another video I made about using the GoPro on a bike. The video is about using an external mic but the internal mic works great and you can see how stable the video is.Just subscribed to your channel. Can't wait to see more. I've been thinking about doing videos myself. I stumbled across a channel they other day called Freewayjim. I like his channel and thought about doing something similar on my SF but filming back roads instead of the interstate. Yesterday I experimented with a GoPro Hero 4 Silver but no matter where I mount it I get the Jello Effect. Just wondering if you get the Jello Effect with you GoPro and if so have you found a way to get rid of it.
Thanks for taking the time to respond. Glad to see there is something out there that does pretty well. Tried several cameras and all the same, maybe the 6 is what I need. The new GoPro Hero 6 stabilizes better than any camera I have seen for $500. I made a mount that clamps any where on the bike. Good 2 know!I might ad that the GoPro Hero 6 has more than one mic built in. It also has noise cancelling software in the camera. It shifts between mics and finds a way to cancel wind noise. I have used it facing the wind on the bike and there is almost zero wind noise. Yet I can talk and narrate if I want (with a slightly raised voice).
Love those hand guards......tell me more....the cold weather and mid-rise bars makes fingers kinda cold....Hey guys and gals. I have started a new channel on YouTube called "Drone my Motorcycle". I bought a Mavic Pro drone and a GoPro Hero 6 so I think I am a professional now. Anyway, I will be making videos featuring different bikes. There will be different brands of bikes mostly American Cruisers. So there will be Harleys involved also. You can close your eyes if they pop up.
This is the first offering. The videos will point out mods done on the bike. This bike is obviously heavy with the Thunder Works mods. Most of the videos won't have much Thunder works stuff on them. Hope you like it. I am open to suggestions. Subscribe if you want to catch all of them. I hope to put a new one up about every week (weather permitting). Future videos will have more on the road shots. In this case I am riding as well as shooting and directing.
