Does anyone know how to remove the drive belt off of the 111? I'm trying to replace it and I like to wrench on my own.

Just curious… what year/model bike? How many miles on the bike and belt? Is it showing signs of wear or damage?

As a FYI you have to pull the swing arm to do it.

As a FYI you have to pull the swing arm to do it.

As per the book yes; but as shown in the video you can pull the frame away from the swing arm on one side and gain enough clearance to get the belt in.

That was my thought too. Hey, I can change the oil and plugs with my entry level craftsman set but… 😀

2018 roadmaster, 74k miles original belt, still looks good, no wear to say. Seen belts break and seen some being the cause of a put down. I ride mine everyday, bought the new belt when I was at 30k and the manufacturer said to replace, I didn't see a reason then, and since I had to change the rear tire I thought I'd do that as well.

FYI my bike is out of warranty, the 2 times I took it to a dealer and told them what was wrong they argued with me, contacted Indian, did their checks and ended up me being correct, but I had to wait as long as 2 days for them to diagnose. I'm not certified, but I have been wrenching for around 20 years on bikes, just this one is not the carburetor type. As well as a bunch of technology.
