What size are the drain plug washers on these Chiefs? I want to get a bag of them ordered up for future oil service but the website only shows the price and part number, not sizing, to be able to order in bulk. Thanks!

I've been using the original drain plug washers for the last 6 years and 91K miles.
Just anneal them. IMHO.

Like you just torch them to heat the washers up and continually re-use them?
How hot do you get them and do you install them hot or what’s your process?
I’ve always heard to use a new one everytime!

For the price i'd rather just replace them. You've saved yourself all of $20 in 91k miles by not replacing them.

Perfect, thanks!
I don’t know how many oil changes you’re figuring but I found out Saturday that IF you buy them from an Indian dealer it’ll cost way more than that. Got a couple of oil filters and asked for two sets of crush washers. $20 for 4 of them!!! I did a good job of not cussing but I did get a little loud. $4.99 for each of those little things. I didn’t buy them. So thank you for this thread as I’ll be buying them in bulk.

Yes, torch them until they're cherry red, let them cool down (I don't quench) and they're good as new.
This was the time-tested method for renewing copper head gaskets on the original machines.
