I went out for a cool 330 miles yesterday. Started in Tijuana and rode over La Rumerosa to Mexicali for some Chinese food with a buddy, pretty good weather for the most part and got to finally push the limits of the bike a bit. I really want more lean angle as I was scraping pegs a lot on the faster corners. We crossed over into the US at Calexico after lunch (also very sleepy from a giant meal) and rode the 98 (I believe) back to the 8 West to head back into San Diego. The headwind was brutal for a good 70 miles or so, and the temperature dropped into the low 30's according to the bike while at the top of the pass. My arms and back are feeling it today after such a brutal headwind, but I made it back to my buddies house in El Cajon, had a beer then rode home and relaxed for the evening. All in all a great day. First long trip on Ricky Bobby and it was fantastic until the headwinds hit and I really missed having a windshield. Definitely ready for my new exhaust to get here so I can let the pipes sing!
