Did you ride today
I thought it would be fun to read about our riding adventures.
I got out today and rode 54 miles on my Yamaha 850XS. The sky was blue and it was a warm 62 degrees afternoon, just right for the first ride of the year. The bike fired right up and ran like a champ no problems after sitting in the garage for 3 months. I buy my gas from a place that has 100% gas, no ethanol. I rode alone as I do most of the time. I have several routes, I call them laps, than I ride. Today's was on the river road run that is nice with a lot of curves and scenic views of the lake. The roads are all two lane and not very much traffic. The posted speed limits are 45 but on my bike 60 feels just right. Some of this is why I love to ride in the country; number of red lights 1, no. of cars I needed to pass 1, cars that passed me 0, cop cars 0, curves in the road many, smiles on my face - all the time. I didn't want to come home but the sun was going down and so was the temperature so I returned to my nest. I can't tell you how great that ride made me feel. Hell, I don't need to , you already know. Get busy riding my brothers and sisters and let's hear about it. Photos would be great too.

We were around Four corners, Macleay Sunday But work has kept us close to home this week.
Super unfortunately no. The biggest bummer about it is living in the N.W. Cascade region the rains are about to start; as one of two graveyard Mill Wrights I just got off the phone with my partner in crime the poor dude blew his knee out. So yours truly is now on seven day work weeks until a fill in can be volunteered. Ah Poop!

I didn't ride today but am looking forward to going to Mexican Hat, Utah this coming weekend. I've already picked out our place for a meal. Check this out.

I am still here. Ida kicked but, but we were blessed. No house damage. Bunch of trees down and we were on generator power for about a week. Still without cable internet. The wife and I did get to ride this past Saturday. I layer the chainsaw down long enough for about 100 miles. Went up river road looped around false river and back home. No riding today though, it is raining like crazy from the outskirts of Tropical Storm Nicholas. 😡
Good to hear you made it through without any significant damage. The folks around Grand Isle did not fair so well.
TS Nicholas blew through last night. Not too bad. From the local weather bugs, I see rain levels ranging from 2 to 9" with 5" being common. I think the 9" was an outlayer.
Wind wasn't too bad. Power is out for various areas. We will shake it off.
Wife and I got a short ride in on Sunday, in case the weatherman was right and we have rain all week.

Hope you get power back soon.
Man I miss the County. Lyden native in Oregon.
I trip down the Mosquito Lake Road would be Really appreciated.
