Did you ride today

I thought it would be fun to read about our riding adventures.

I got out today and rode 54 miles on my Yamaha 850XS. The sky was blue and it was a warm 62 degrees afternoon, just right for the first ride of the year. The bike fired right up and ran like a champ no problems after sitting in the garage for 3 months. I buy my gas from a place that has 100% gas, no ethanol. I rode alone as I do most of the time. I have several routes, I call them laps, than I ride. Today's was on the river road run that is nice with a lot of curves and scenic views of the lake. The roads are all two lane and not very much traffic. The posted speed limits are 45 but on my bike 60 feels just right. Some of this is why I love to ride in the country; number of red lights 1, no. of cars I needed to pass 1, cars that passed me 0, cop cars 0, curves in the road many, smiles on my face - all the time. I didn't want to come home but the sun was going down and so was the temperature so I returned to my nest. I can't tell you how great that ride made me feel. Hell, I don't need to , you already know. Get busy riding my brothers and sisters and let's hear about it. Photos would be great too.

Drove to the dealer for Black Saturday. 25% off apparel and accessories. Plus $100 off from Indian for spending over $500. Heated grips, neck warmer and two jackets, now I"m ready for winter riding .

I just love the way Indian does things. Some people get welcome packages, others don't. My friend who bought on the same day as me, at the same time, from the same dealer just got coupons from Indian for discounts... I haven't got any. He's spent $200 on accessories, I've spent $2,500. Nice job Indian...

Most dealers have extra coupons if you didn't recieve one. My dealer provided me with the one on the extra $100 off if you spend over $500. That coupon was from Indian. The 25% off was a promo the Indian dealer was doing for just one day. With the high cost of Indian accessories and apparel it sure does help to take advantage of a good promo.
Last day of deer season. I'm in the woods. It's foggy. Not hunting very hard. Mostly playing on this forum.
Going to try today. 45 outside. Got my new RM in a custom color in the garage for a week already. Had snow it's gone now. Time for a short first ride. It's got only 1 mile on the odometer.

nice bike...
Well it stated raining today before I got my ride. Oh well someday soon I hope!
Thank you!
Out on the road at 7:45 AM, across Tamiami Trail over to Marco Island for church, then to a friends house for lunch. Afterwards made my way into the Indian res to a chickee hut for a nice 45 minute nap! Damn dog across the street woke me up. Headed thru Snake Road to Alligator Alley over to Café 27, listened to some good rock n roll then back to the shop by about 6pm. Washed the skoot. Absolutely beautiful weather from now till bout May. 321 mls total but only 5.8 hours of ridin time.

Went up to the Blue Mountains west of Sydney, 75°F perfect, sunny no wind. About 200 klms.
up the Bells Line of Road across to Mt Victoria then down the Great Western Hwy. stopped at Leura for a cuppuccino.
Zero blood flow into the rump and base of stalk, stock seat is a shocker, can't wait for Corbin seat to arrive.
Can't get a photo to upload.
Done the same ride Mickb. My stock seat is ok having ridden to MotoGP at Phillip Island again this year. Then again I am a skinny old bloke who doesn't weigh much.
Yesterday. Tested out my new Desert Dawgs Elephant Ears while running some errands. Got home about an hour before the sleet started.
Hell yeah! First ride since my shoulder surgery Nov 02. 34degrees. Nice lil spin from home in Roxborough Park to Castle Rock (mebbe half hour RT).

What the doc don't know.... (he's not a rider ). Some things a guys just gotta do

40 degrees and sunny, perfect for a 40 mile loop of Ozark back roads to/from the nearest supermarket, for a block of cheese and some honey. Because I like tea with my grilled cheese, and the little bear was blowing bubbles.

Just got back from big ride thru New South Wales on my Scout. No issues except one hairy incident when a deer appeared from the forest went to run across in front but was gobsmacked at my black thunder Scout (with burbly Stage 1 pipes) and ran back in to tell her mates. Just love being out in the country admiring the scenery along the way. Took in the National Motorcycle Museum in Nabiac and the newer one in Tamworth up the New England. Both museums sadly did not have a lot of old Indians. Wonder whether there are represented in numbers in museums in good ol US of A?
