Went to a Vietnam vets welcome home ceremony and ride. Did about 60 miles. I was the only Indian and got a ton of compliments. Also joined the Combat Vets club.

Didn't go too far... Had my oldest daughter's friend "adopted daughter" house and dog sit yesterday while we went to the Garth Brooks concert... This morning, we went to breakfast the next town over and she wanted to ride with me. She loved it.
Later my wife and I went out to the next town over the other direction and bought some filet mignon to grill up with some beers. Good day.

Had to drive 240 miles round-trip in my stupid company Subaru... Got home and took the Vintage up to the store and filled up the tank while in town. The display says I'm getting 35.5 MPG. I hand calculated it and came up with 37.5. Didn't get the big twin for good mileage, just an observation.

Rode about 20 miles round trip to the bank to set up auto-payment on the bike. Having some issues with Pandora on my phone and the blue tooth speakers... It seems to keep disconnecting in between songs. I did listen to a Seamus Kennedy song though... The people around me in traffic must have been confused...

Did about 55 miles today. Went to have lunch with my wife, both daughters, and my new granddaughter. Then I went out to a neighboring town where I'd seen a motorcycle leathers store. They sell chaps for about$60-$105. Not bad.
Then took the scenic route home.

Had to go back to the VA in Boise today... Another 270ish round trip. Went to the Indian dealer after my appointment and got a new Indian helmet on clearance for $30! Had a scratch on the side, dealer buffed it out and the flat black turned a little shiny in that spot... Barely noticeable.
Then went to the Harley dealer across the parking lot and bought an Airhawk seat pad for the ride home... Huge improvement. Highly recommend.

Met up with some buddies at the drive-in theater in Aldergrove yesterday, it's only 38 km away from home but for some reason it took me 520 km to get there. Stopped in Hope along the way to watch the Seattle Cossacks do their thing, those guys always kill it.

I saw the Cossacks years ago at the Olympia Toys for Tots toy run in December. Cold a a mutha, but had a great time.

Yesterday I did a great 200 mile round trip to the Flight 93 memorial at Shanksville, Pa. Everyone needs to see it if any way possible, very moving and
well done by the Park Service. I must have seen at least 150-200 bikes on the ride, a beautiful day.
Made it there a few months ago. Got there as it was closing for the evening. The ranger I met had been in the 82nd and saw my shirt, let us in for a bit... Cool guy.
Very moving memorial.

Didn't ride the Vintage today... Early winter this year. Took out my other Polaris vehicle...
About 8500 feet up... The Aspen's are still turning colors, too. Took some friends out to Piney cabin, an old ranch farmstead now used as a warning hut for snow mobilers. Saw a couple moose and deer. No elk today.
