Did you ride today

I thought it would be fun to read about our riding adventures.

I got out today and rode 54 miles on my Yamaha 850XS. The sky was blue and it was a warm 62 degrees afternoon, just right for the first ride of the year. The bike fired right up and ran like a champ no problems after sitting in the garage for 3 months. I buy my gas from a place that has 100% gas, no ethanol. I rode alone as I do most of the time. I have several routes, I call them laps, than I ride. Today's was on the river road run that is nice with a lot of curves and scenic views of the lake. The roads are all two lane and not very much traffic. The posted speed limits are 45 but on my bike 60 feels just right. Some of this is why I love to ride in the country; number of red lights 1, no. of cars I needed to pass 1, cars that passed me 0, cop cars 0, curves in the road many, smiles on my face - all the time. I didn't want to come home but the sun was going down and so was the temperature so I returned to my nest. I can't tell you how great that ride made me feel. Hell, I don't need to , you already know. Get busy riding my brothers and sisters and let's hear about it. Photos would be great too.

Anyways, that's where everyone on a two wheeler [except me,lol ] will be!!!
I was just there about 30 years ago. Remember a lot of bike walking in the traffic. Prefer the open roads and Maine Blues Festival in Naples that weekend. Still plenty of bikes around.

128 near Boston seemed unusually well flowing yesterday at 6am and 6pm. Nice 70-75mph 35 mile ride before and after work.

Independence pass to be exact. If you are going to be in the area and it’s not winter then that’s a must do motorcycle road. Took the turn and headed up.

Stopped by Twin Lakes to look and snap a couple pictures.
Independence Pass was a must ride for me when living in Colorado. In my top 10 spots to revisit when I retire. Also the inn at Twin Lakes, a former stagecoach stop and brothel among other things.

Rode to MOMs South In Foxboro for open house. Band, burgers, hot dogs and a wallet about $1k lighter. Between the 15% of from the dealer and the Indian coupon I’ll go broke saving money! Heated seat, heated grips and stage 1 air intake being installed this week.

Normal 70 mile round trip commute then a short 20 mile ride on a cool 47 degree New England evening. I think she likes the cool weather as much as I do. First month with heated seat and grips.

Yeah, it was 72 down here today. Went on a 120 mile ride on the back roads of SC this afternoon. Felt good to be back in the saddle and in the wind. Haven’t ridden much for about 6 weeks due to a heart attack. Feeling much better and the ride helped a lot

Bubba
Good to hear your feeling better and back in the saddle

Negative!! Why?? Cause it's been rainin like a cow pissin on a flat rock!! :( Infact,it's been raining now for the past several days.So I'm gonna order a pair of pontoons for the bike and a set of paddles to put on the rear tire.:)
It’s New England Dave. Thursday will be sunny and 48. See you on 128!
4 miles today. 25 out. Snow in a few hours. Had to move it to switch places with the snow blower. Preparing for a bout of PMS.
