Found this and thought I would share

Thanks for the history lesson. I once had a 62 Impala it was like one of the old bikes. About every 100 miles I had to pull into a station to fill it up with Quaker State and check the gas. Sounds bad but oil was only 25 cents per quart and I killed a hell of a lot of mosquitoes

I know what you mean, those were the good old days :D

Yeah, I had just totaled my 64 Impala with the 327 and had no insurance. I had to have a cheap ride so I bought the 62, for $200. It had mag wheels and white lettered wide ovals, looked good but ran like shit. It got me to work and back until I could do better. The good old days didn't seem as good when we were in them, did they?

Thanks for posting. My dad had a 41 Scout only in red. God what I'd give to have Dad and the bike now.
