My first bike was a vintage and if I remember correctly there was a way of doing it but I can't remember for the life of me, I don't see anything about it in the manual. Does anyone know how to change the brightness of the display on the Springfield if so if video be awesome if not just some instructions thanks
Correct.....That was one of the weaknesses of my Vintage and a major complaint of mine. The sky facing Instrument was colored poorly when lit. Add to that an inability to increase the brightness rendered mine all but useless. Very hard to see at night and invisible in the daylight
Same with my 2015 Classic, the red on a white background is impossible to read at night especially if raining. We need an ability to upgrade, say black on white and brightness adjustability for safeties' sake.
Yes and the RM's and Chieftains have analog gauges that are readable and the angle of the display make the digital info on those bikes easier to see.
The Chief Classic, Dark Horse and Vintage all suffer in that area,
