They are probably still looking for a 12 year old kid with some computer skills to do the programming, it took indian almost 3 years to fix the stalling and throttle issues and this battery issue has been going on since day one in 2020, 5 years to fix this, this will definitely be my last indian purchase

This is what I've told people who have looked at and liked my Challenger motorcycle, since I bought it in March of 2020. If you are not willing to put it on the tender every time you get done with a motorcycle ride, you probably are going to end up getting frustrated with your Indian Challenger motorcycle. Most people said that that was an unacceptable glitch to have in a motorcycle that costs north of $30,000. One person I know did buy one. He's used to hooking it up to the batterytender after rides, and he really likes his bike. As for me, this past spring I traded my 2020 Challenger Limited for a 2024 Challenger Limited. I am used to the parasitic battery drain glitch. This model of bike is the most fun motorcycle I've ever owned in 42 years of motorcycle riding.

My tender cables lay on the garage floor next to where I park both of my bikes. Takes 2seconds to plug them back in. Not sure why people mention how much a bike cost with doing what needs to be done in order to not get frustrated. I use my computer on battery power for 3 hours and it will die and I have to plug it in. Cost doesn’t matter. Heck, if I leave my 2019 GM product for 10 days without driving, dead battery too. Just in case, I have a jump pack for the bikes and car. Just my $.02

I owned Guzzi, Victory, Harley, Suzuki and Yamaha, never had to use a tender in the summer riding season I could go all winter long and in the spring they started right up, I'm used to plugging it in after every ride, I just tell people the challenger is a hybrid, anyway it just frustrated me that you spend over 30 grand on a bike and the company can't fix a problem that they new about for 5 years, I guess when you buy a bike from a company that's known for off road vehicles and obviously nothing about motorcycles or technology you should expect this

Well in today's world, most components of products are made by different companies. In the Challenger Pursuit case, the ECU, and VCMs are made by Bosch, and they write the firmware for them, not Indian, and the throttle bodies are made by Mikuni. Just like the Ride Command is made (Harmon Kardon).

Indian is at the mercy of these companies to fix issues when they are brought up. The parasitic draw issue was known for some time, but Indian was waiting for Bosch to resolve it.

All those old bikes you owned didn't have sophisticated computers and electronics, so there of course was no issues.

That world population has accepted that "bugs" and glitches are part of the norm. Therefore, companies have zero motivation to put out well vetted systems.

Got both the windshield motor and the battery drain reflash done yesterday at Pensacola Indian.

Interesting. I also have a 2020 Limited and was told last week at Redlands Indian dealership that the 2020 battery drain reflash was still not available?

Just checked the receipt, the reflash noted is ISA-24-02 not 08 may not be the battery drain. The dealer had my bike for 2 months in Mar Apr(failed voltage regulator and the replacement bad out of the box) and I was informed then all service bulletins had been performed then so assumed not the battery one as not yet released.

Correct, 2020 use a different part # on the ECU and different VCM's.

All I can say is I've had my 2020 Challenger Limited since late 2019 and as long as I ride the bike regularly, I can park it in the garage for two weeks (without a tender) and it starts right up - fine. However, in the winter time I do use a tender due to the colder temperatures although my garage is temperature controlled both heated & cooled. I replaced the original factory battery in which was sold to me with the bike after three years of use. I noticed the cold starting was lagging the battery down so I replaced it in early 2024.

I got the notification today also. Now just need a warm day and an appointment.

I have performed every recall notification as to date for my 2020 Challenger Limited except for the two notices I received this summer for the recall: ABS Software Update & Inadvertent Brake Light illumination. Just haven't been able to get over to the FT. Worth Dealership, they are the only DFW local dealership that can work with the Loydz ECM tuning and Polaris Digital Wrench situation

The dealer that I now trust to work on my bike is about 2 hours away, one way. My local dealer lost that chance with the ABS recall, so, warmer weather needs to return before I can get it down there.

I didn't get this one put on my 20 Challenger limited. I'm glad I didn't rush into it, as I have never had an issue with it holding a charge. If I don't hear cries of anguish in the next couple of weeks I'll give it a try.

Same here, my 2020 Challenger Limited has never had the parasitic draw/drain issue. That's why I didn't take my in on that (1 of 2) recall either.

Disclosure: I'm a long time Harley rider; currently owning and riding four of them. An M8 Road Glide is my long-haul road trip bike. About a year or so ago, I was thinking about replacing my Road Glide with a Challenger. I believe that Challenger has better performance and better stock suspension - although compared to a H-D, that's a low bar; but I digress. Harley's paint and chrome are, IMHO, industry best.

I went to an open house at the nearest Indian dealer and explained that I'm not a shopper - I'm a buyer. I was ready, willing and able to pull the trigger on a new Challenger. I then asked the salesman/owner, "So, what about all those electrical problems?" To which he replied, "What electrical problems?" I said, "You know, parasitic draw when parked, having to be on a tender all the time. What am I supposed to do on a long(er) road trip?"

Incredulously, he said, "I don't know what you're talking about." The look on my face must have spoken loudly because he said, "Follow me" as we went back to the service department. He introduced me to the service manager and asked him if he know anything about these electrical problems. The service manager said that there was no electrical or computer problems at all except perhaps sometimes for ill-fitted aftermarket/after sale accessories installed outside the dealership.

I said, "Oh, thank you; that's reassuring." I left and never went back; never bought a Challenger either. I am now thinking again about a Challenger, or maybe a Gold Wing ... or even another Harley (mainly for the dealer network and factory support) but won't go back to that dealership even though they are the closest.

Lest anyone thinks me a H-D Fan Boy, they have their problems too and, of late, I am most assuredly no fan of the H-D MoCo for reasons unrelated to their products.

This thread was informative - from a technical aspect as well as from a corporate point.
