Best cell phone mounts for RM? Thanks in advance.
In my opinion this is the best phone/gps mount on the market.
Motorcycle Cell Phone Mounts - Techmounts

Had mine since I bought my 15' RM and 36,000 miles later it's been absolutely rock solid. My phone is 100% worry free. A couple of my buddies who I ride with had ram mounts and can't say the same thing... I've witnessed their phones bounce of the pavement and slide across the road and it ain't pretty. Shop around the internet for best price if your so inclined. Hope this helps in your search.

Mind if I see a few pics of it on your RM? Looking online, I can't find any chrome ones for sale.

As I recall I had the option to get the chrome or black mount. The actual 'gripper' is only black and that is why I went with a black mount. It's a quality made USA product.

I can attest to this. I had a RAM mount and have lost two phones on it. The Techmount is definitely more solid than RAM and since installing it a year ago, I have not had any issues with the phone coming loose, even when not mounting a windshield. It has a much stronger spring and positioning allows it to not get in contact w/ volume / lock buttons.

I think its important to understand the context you'll be using the phone mount in. For example I use my phone as navigation so I like to have it in close proximity to the dash cluster which landed me pretty squarely on the Indian phone mount. (I think they've discontinued it but it can still be found on the internet) Some one else has better pictures than mine. see http://www.indianmotorcycles.net/threads/indian-roadmaster-phone-mount.2818/

For the phone I use this Kuryakyn...

Gear Auto part Automotive engine timing part Clutch part Hardware accessory

I then mount the phone holder with another Kuryakyn ball mount...

Metal Auto part Steel Rim Hardware accessory

I wasted my money on one of those X-Claw mounts. It worked and was cheap enough but my iPhone 7 didn't like it. The clamp part would hit one of the buttons and either turn the volume up/down or turn it off. It just wouldn't work no matter what I tried. The mount above works great and is very secure.

I installed this (Motorcycle Cell Phone Mounts - Techmounts) on my 16 RM and then went on a 4,304 mile trip across the country (NC to CA). All backroads. Some dirt, gravel, and everything in between. It performed absolutely flawlessly. It lets you easily get the phone in and out, but doesn't budge hitting potholes, etc. Very adjustable angle of view. Also, the temp got up to around 115 deg in AZ and NV. No problems there. This was a great investment.
