Is anyone able to identify the made and year of the Indian motorcycle in this painting? (This is a watercolor by my wife. It is currently part of an art exhibition traveling to art museums around the U.S. She saw the bike at at a auto/motorcycle show and decided to paint it, but knows nothing about it, and all the museum curators are asking for more information.) Can you help?

Looks like a Gilroy Indian Chief from the early 2000s (Gilroy is just the era of manufacture, not the actual name of the bike)
You should post this on the Gilroy section further down the page. One of those folks might be able to narrow it down further

That’s a nice painting by your wife. I agree with Brother Scum (and I bet there’s a fun story with that name). It’s a 1999-2001 Indian Chief made in Gilroy CA with an 85c.i. S&S engine. This is a picture of my 2001. Check the fender, headlight, and engine to confirm details.
