Great pictures, my wife and I are headed there in 5 weeks, can't wait!
I am sure you will enjoy the scenery and it should be warmer when you come. What route are you taking to get here? I am planning a ride to Mikwakee area in July and I suspect we could be travelling in opposite directions.Great pictures, my wife and I are headed there in 5 weeks, can't wait!
We are going to run I94 as far as Glendive Mt, so we can make time the first day. Leaving here on the 7/27. We will be staying around Banff three days and then meander around for about 5 days before heading home. Are you running freeway or back roads to Milwaukee?I am sure you will enjoy the scenery and it should be warmer when you come. What route are you taking to get here? I plan to two full days of riding to get to Milwaukee - actually Lake Geneva - dropping down into Montana onto Hwy 2 - then down to I-94 just before North Dakota. Trying to get there quickly and then take my time coming back - maybe 4 day return. Any suggestions on a meandering - non interstate route can take back?We are going to run I94 as far as Glendive Mt, so we can make time the first day. Leaving here on the 7/27. From Lake Geneva look at a map and follow a route along lakes or a river flowage heading North West. You really can't go wrong on the back roads in Wi. I would cross back into Mn well North of Minneapolis maybe around Pine City or Hinckley and then head West towards Fargo thru the Central Minnesota lake country. You will find a mix of riding from open to forested meandering through the lakes. Great - thanks for that guidance. If you need any tips for anywhere in my area - let me know. Watch out for bears when you are in Banff - i was saw 2 bears in my 2 hr drive through the park area on Saturday - which was a high number in that short of time/distance. But they should be into the higher back country when you come through. From Lake Geneva look at a map and follow a route along lakes or a river flowage heading North West.
