I figured it would be nice to see when people are ordering bikes and how long it's taking. We do this kind of thing in the hellcat forums too, which is why I wonder why it hasn't been done? List your order dates and update your post if you get the bike delivered or receive an update.

Ordered:
Challenger Dark Horse Icon late April.
Edit: lol, dude at indian emailed me saying he talked to the floor and got them to bump my build up asap, because it was supposed to be prioritized under these circumstances. I told him, but it's supposed to ship by 4 days from now, 7/31.... how is it still sitting there unfinished.
Edit: Just changed to built with firm ship date.

I stopped by today to check on my order and saw yours, very nice!! I had to have the DH so may be waiting a bit longer. Hope they get your title soon, congrats!
Thank you.
You have a "shipping date"... I'm jealous.

**I'm actually considering telling the dealership to return my add-ons, then selling my exhaust online, and the tires online and just getting an MT-10. Has the same touring capability as the Scout bobber (short trips). I'm sure I could mod it out for a week long trip, and it's more capable in the curves.
I am seeing a lot of orders from April being delivered now on the facebook groups for ISB in black smoke. My website hasn't changed after it went back to "confirmed" but I am cautiously optimistic about the information I've been provided. Also, I saw someone get a firm shipping date for a ISB in glossy black with an order from JUNE. We are so close! Hang in there. The bikes are coming.
Just to add to the "Indian website isn't worth a sh!t" narrative: My CDH Icon shows "Scheduling Build" with a range of 8/16/22 - 8/31/22. I just called and they told me it is shipping tomorrow (8/31/22). No update to the website and he apologized for it and said someone should be working on the website issues. Anyway, good news is it is shipping tomorrow and I will have for my planned October trip. Ordered 3/14/22, now to see if it comes with chrome or black pipes??

congratulations!
Yeah this is exactly why I didn’t even reply to people defending that the website is accurate. The website is crap. Literally my order is back to “confirmed” for almost a week now, even while Indian has directly confirmed shipping date to me and the dealership has the same info.

Ride that shit until the wheels fall off! Can’t wait to see the pictures!

The folks at Indian phoned me today to let me know I should have my bike by the end of September. That was my cut off date to deliver me a bike or give me a deposit back. One year to get a bike is really ridiculous.

Now it's up to the buyer to say so....but she looks worth the wait to me!!!

I'm not sure Indian builds a Chally DH in a bad color.
Man I should get an award for how big this thread has gotten 🤣

Congrats!!!

Hopefully there was an apology letter from Indian Co. and a verbal one from the dealer on the length of time they took to get it to you; I mean, they missed the mark by four (4) months, that's a pretty huge delta.
well played to the guys that held on with their order
Dang. Congratulations! She’s a beauty

I mean, the tin sign and letter from indian co that’s supposed to serve as an apology didn’t really land right with me. and, i’m not holding out hope for anything more than that.
i know dealerships can be touch and go for some on here, but mine’s been some of the best customer service i’ve ever dealt with. responsive, personal, straight up with what they can or can’t do, and have a genuine interest in getting you on two wheels and riding. they’ve apologized along the way and are doing right by me. anyone in the PNW thinking about buying an Indian should at least swing by Lynnwood Motoplex to talk to Jarrod.
Thanks to all for the congrats, i’ll post some pics when it’s in hand and all the accessories are on.

Cancelling an order like this does absolutely nothing to IMC. Believe me, they will not get the point if anyone cancels an order. Chances are all the bikes that make it to the dealer will get sold immediately. Little self indulgent protests like canceling an order fall on deaf ears.

I wanted it, so I ordered it. I was full commit from the start, I have a pile of parts waiting to go on my bike so if I cancelled the only one I would be hurting is myself.

Exactly, there is a line of potential purchasers waiting to scoop up the bikes.
And this still is news for some.... There is a global supply chain crisis and manufacturing crisis. (doesn't matter if you believe the reason was BS or not, it happened) When the world shut down in 2020 and still has shutdowns in various places, inventory was depleted. The whole reason Polaris went to the pre order model was because of this. All sectors of the world have been hit hard, raw materials, semiconductors, paint, baby food, every damn thing that can be made is in the shitter. Also, there have been roiling shutdowns in many other places in the world.

The wait times on most cars/trucks today is 1-3 years. Guys 12+ weeks means 12 weeks minimum or who the hell knows.

Indian never, never, promised any dates. All dates were estimates and they have a very detailed explanation about delivery times and what to expect.

I ordered my Challenger Limited full well knowing all this. When the dealer told me the chrome Limited's were 4 weeks out, he also said but that's estimated and could be longer. And I went in full well knowing it could be 4 weeks or the end of the year. 8 weeks late I got my bike.

So, all of those pissing and moaning, your expectations are not in line with current world reality.

I have a different experience. I ordered a 21 Challenger Whitesmoke Darkhorse September of last year. In December I got an email stating they could not build the bike I ordered. The dealer I was working with asked me to hang on a couple months as Indian will be releasing a mode, the Pursuit, with all the bells and whistles I wanted. I waited till my dealer was able to order the bike I wanted and the color I kind of wanted. The dealer was told by Indian it would take 4 weeks, and here I sit 16 weeks later with no bike.
If from the get go Indian would have been honest with me and my dealer and said you may have to wait over a year to get a bike that we offer but can’t build I would have gone else where.
This has me wondering about parts availability if I have an issue. How long will my bike sit waiting parts?
What about the depreciation I will take at the end of the year because I have a 22 model year that I will receive when they are introducing the 23 models? Mind you I didn’t get any discount off of msrp for the privilege of ordering a pandemic bike early in 22. This isn’t something that the dealer had to move to make room for the new models.
Would I recommend an Indian to my riding friends? Only if they are willing to wait. So far none of them are impressed with my phantom Pursuit.

Cancelling the order may not yield results but vocal negative feedback, especially written on the web will.

If I would have paid more attention to this thread back in May, I probably wouldn't have ordered my bike. I would have either gone with a sport-touring bike, or waited until Nov./Dec. to order knowing that I MIGHT get it by June the following year.

You may say "BS", and to those simpletons/dolts that don't get it, I just say... grow a brain. Those of us living in snow country will have our bikes sitting over the winter wasting the warranty away. We'll be at the end of the warranty period by the time the I get to actually ride the bike and it would show any signs of part/component failure etc. It's a BAD deal all the way around. Furthermore how the F*CK am I going to get the bike home with snow on the roads (Salt Lake City... see "winter olympics"). Yeah, lets try to toss that up on a flat bed in the snow and take icy roads up... this is why I ordered in May!

Sorry this is on Indian, and depending upon their response when I call today and after drafting formal (more professional) correspondence, I'll be cancelling my order as well. This is less and less about "riding" and more and more about a "financial" decision, due to the company's inability to advise it's client base properly. When I first went to the dealership I was told late June - July. Now we're into September.
