I figured it would be nice to see when people are ordering bikes and how long it's taking. We do this kind of thing in the hellcat forums too, which is why I wonder why it hasn't been done? List your order dates and update your post if you get the bike delivered or receive an update.

Ordered:
Challenger Dark Horse Icon late April.
Edit: lol, dude at indian emailed me saying he talked to the floor and got them to bump my build up asap, because it was supposed to be prioritized under these circumstances. I told him, but it's supposed to ship by 4 days from now, 7/31.... how is it still sitting there unfinished.
Edit: Just changed to built with firm ship date.

So it shipped about a month ago, and you're still waiting? Is is at your dealer?

As to your question, I think I would have. I wasn't in a rush, and there really wasn't another ride that I wanted. There were other Indians that were tempting, but no other brand was pulling at me. As it is, they told me "late July, or early August". With any luck, I should have the bike in mid September. I'm definitely not giving them a pass, but in the context of all the other times folks are getting bikes, I might be one of the luckier ones....might...it ain't here yet!

Can you clarify a few things on your post? Your post implies that your order took less than a month from order to shipping, when everyone else's from around the same time, hasn't even been built yet. Was it an order a dealership had in stock and it's taken this long to arrive to yours? You also posted a picture of the bike in it's shipping crate, which leads me to believe it's someone else's order that was then transferred to you and the shipping has been a pain in the neck.

To answer your question, no. I was told 8-10 weeks in the beginning of May. If I would have known I would be typing this at 15 weeks with a bike that is not built yet, I would have 100% picked up the Harley Sportster S that I was offered multiple times throughout this process.

To answer your question, no. I was told 8-10 weeks in the beginning of May. If I would have known I would be typing this at 15 weeks with a bike that is not built yet, I would have 100% picked up the Harley Sportster S that I was offered multiple times throughout this process.

Ordered in April, ordered was confirmed from Indian in May (three weeks after ordered from dealer) and was shipped form MN to Moncton 26 July. It arrived this morning at the Dealership! (hence the crate pic) Picking it up tomorrow !! Whoot Whoot !!

I was considering the Sportster as well, even the Fat Bob, even the Nightster is pretty cool but that wasn't available yet and I didn't want to wait till the end of the summer, then I seen the Scout ... game over ... lol ...waited till the end of the summer anyway.. lol but hey, I got me an Indian now !!

If your dealer told you 8-10 weeks, they lied to you. Indians official statement dating back to last year. Is that bikes were taking 12 +weeks. Dealers have known since spring that dark Horse, blacked out bikes were running 6 + months.

Yeah well. My dealership (as most of them are) is a steaming turd. That's not the only thing they have been a huge failure at, mind you. Nothing new about that. It's a miracle I haven't given Indian a giant middle finger yet, and that's only because I keep telling myself it will be worth it in the end.

Well do you have an explanation as to why the Indian site, not affiliated with my dealer, showed 12 weeks from when I ordered the bike? My dealer only went off what Polaris told them.
In my eyes it’s Polaris stringing the dealers and their customers along. This is bad juju on them.

I doubt Polaris told them that. I actually saw the dealer portal that interfaces with Polaris and that is where the dates ate published. I have a great dealer who is upfront and saw lead times of 6 + months 3 months ago for all of the black dark horse type of bikes.

I would have passed for certain, and probably gotten a naked bike, or a sport touring bike... would have been happy with either.

I ordered my bike May 1st. This is a screen shot from a moment ago from the Indian site. The math will tell you that I am supposed to receive my bike approximately 12 weeks after I ordered it. Can you please explain who is lying to whom?

Ordered mine (Challenger Limited) on June 20th just shipped today. And my portal said the same thing.

BTW the portal is not up to date. Your dealer has the most up to date info.

My dealer told me the bike was finished a week before the portal did, and the portal still says my bike is supposed to ship 9/2/2022. Its already on the way.

The painted non dark horse bikes with chrome are not that much delayed 4-6 weeks average. It is the Dark Horse and blacked out bikes that have the massive wait due to issues getting the powder coated blacked out parts and the fact more people have ordered those.

Order Confirmed : May 4th
After a lot of dicking around with the status page throwing me back and forth on different build dates, gentlemen, I have an update-

I just realized that I ordered it on May 4th, star wars day. I'm going to get black pipes. I am thinking I'm going to name her Vader.

Hell yeah brother! I must be close then! I placed the order on May 6th and confirmed it on May 9th. I can almost feel my ass complaining about that stock seat.
