The ship dates mean nothing until it says built


Indian stopped taking orders on Dark Horse Premiums in late June, due to not having the parts to meet the year end. Anything Dark Horse is severely delayed.

In June I say my dealer's portal with Indian, and Dark Horse heavyweights were on a 6 - 8-month Est delivery timeframe.

Ordered mine May 1st. Quartz Grey Icon premium package. It’s a bike they said they can build. I ordered a Challenger Whitesmoke Darkhorse back in September of 21. In December they told me they couldn’t build and deliver the bike I ordered. My patients is wearing very thin. I‘m sure most would understand.

Most would, only problem is the whole powersports/auto industry is in worse shape. 1-3 year wait on most cars and trucks.

it gets confusing on how they are handling bikes...person A has a bike on order in april and now theres a black part shortage..Person B orders in may and bike gets built with the same parts that are suppose to be short. So how did person A not get their bike before person B.

Usually, it's not the same identical bike. Basically, Polaris is building what they can with available parts on hand/ For example the TS111/116 bikes that are not black, are pretty quick to build and ship

I've seen it happen with identical bikes that's what I'm saying lol

Simple answer... different "parts" issues at different times. Your "assumption" is that its the same part, rather than different parts. This is why I'd stated previously that their supply chain issues may initially be pandemic related, but their logistics department may also play a role.

Is it odd that you have a ship date, but not a "Built" status?

Mine did the same. Switched to built couple days after solid date

Maybe since I didn't check for 1 or 2 days, mine did the same thing and I just didn't see it. Either way....fingers crossed they actually ship the bike on the current date (with all the right parts), and all goes well and fast from then on. I want me bike!!!

Well, my dealer just got in a Pursuit Dark Horse in black smoke, it was ordered early March and another one that looks like it will ship next week, so maybe some Pursuit DHs will start showing up soon...

3 Scout bobbers (1 BS, 1 Grey, and 1 Maroon) and 1 Rogue showed up at the Bonneville UT. dealership.

My Chieftain DH is now in transit! Ship Date 8/22/22. Order Date 5/25/22!

I figured it would be nice to see when people are ordering bikes and how long it's taking. We do this kind of thing in the hellcat forums too, which is why I wonder why it hasn't been done? List your order dates and update your post if you get the bike delivered or receive an update.

Edit: lol, dude at indian emailed me saying he talked to the floor and got them to bump my build up asap, because it was supposed to be prioritized under these circumstances. I told him, but it's supposed to ship by 4 days from now, 7/31.... how is it still sitting there unfinished.
Edit: Just changed to built with firm ship date.

My Pursuit has been setting at the dealership for two weeks waiting for Indian to send the title. He can't sell it to me until that shows up. There is a Scout setting next to mine waiting also. Would think if Indian cared about the buyer, this would not happen. My dealer is in Peoria, IL. I'm running out of riding time this year.

Any idea when those were ordered? I’ve literally have not heard from any SB from April being delivered yet, and here we are again: one week before the deadline that they won’t keep again.
I’m so over this brand.

Ordered Scout Bobber in April, took 3 weeks to process. Shipped 26 July from MN to NB, still waiting. Dealership told me I would have it May.

How many of you would still have purchased if you knew you were going to wait this long?

i knew it was gonna be a 2 -3 month wait but i gave up at week 13 when they pushed my order into September

I just keep telling myself that once I get the bike it will be worth it. And maybe a conversation starter sometimes when there aren't that many on the road.

That's a new one...at least to me....I haven't heard that being an issue. Now I guess I have one more thing to worry about.
