So who else here has a ship date of July (10-31 for me), anyone else?
I do...sort of....(07/27/2022 - 08/31/2022).

It's a little interesting that some models seem to have a bit of a tighter window.

And I tend to look at my range with "50 Shades of Hope" 😂

Shade 1: Maybe things will happen faster...and it will ship to the dealer before 7/27!!!
Shade 2: It would great if it ships right on 7/27.

Shade 50: I sure do hope that on 8/31 they don't update the site with a new shipping estimate that is further into the future.

I did have a scheduled timeframe of 7/1-7/31, however, a few days ago it went back to confirmed, even though I was confirmed back in May. Has anyone had this happen to them?
Several peeps have stated that this has happened to them. Even the Indian site states this as well...that there could be some backwards movement. That said, it feels like when that happens, things should be getting very close to being fully built. I hope that's the case for you.

All these guys mentioning getting mods for the bike in advance....I can't do that....it's bad mojo!!! 😁

Once she arrives, and we get to know each other, she will let me know waht mods she needs. We plan to take it slow. Maybe a saddle bag oranizer/shelf thingy for starters.

Bwahaha... you've been lied to!

I can state facts to this very topic. My '05 STi, (purchased brand new) had no mods AT ALL for the first year, and that car was a complete cluster-F; turbo went tits up, cracked radiator from the factory, wheel weight flew off at 65mph and put a whole in my fender wall, cylinder 4 misfires, the list goes on and on. As soon as I installed an exhaust, new airbox, and reflashed... no problems!

I will be modifying the exhaust and airbox of this bike AFTER the 500mile break in period for the same reasons. I learned my lessons the first few times around with machines. However, she will be getting brand new Avon Cobra Chromes right out of the starting gate; those stock tires not only look like trash, everything that anyone says about them is complete trash as well. She'll also be getting some quality of life upgrades like an LED headlight and a luggage rack.

I think you migh have misread my post.....I meant that buying mods or gear BEFORE she arrives is bad mojo....in that it will extend the arrival time! I'm not anti mod. Just being silly that since those of us who have not received their ordered bikes, didn't want to jinx it by ordering mods.....then the Indian ordering gods would here about it, and delay our bikes another 30 days!.

When I saw the sturdy envelope, I was hoping it was going to be something a bit more...like some sort of welcome letter letting me know it's been shipped, or whatever. But, it was a small, simple, and nice gesture, and is officially my first Indian merch.

American Pickers - Year 2100....

"way back about 80 years ago, Indian used to make gasoline motorcycles (not the nuclear ones they make now), and they had this big supply chain issue when humans were still heavily involved in manufacturing. Well, the corporation actually physically sent these drink coasters to their waiting customers. Man this is so kewl. What would need to part with this?"

My dealership only requires $100 down for the deposit to order…I also never saw anyone but this dealership offer the 1 million mile warranty…

My dealer too only required $100 credit card deposit, but not this 1M warranty...that's pretty awesome. I'm in the Chicagoland area like you, but I went with the Indian dealership in Monee.

Anyone know when ship dates tend to be posted?
Mine has been in the SCHEDULED status since June20 with no date
View attachment 696422

I don't know that there is a rule of thumb, but I can give you mine.

05132022 - Ordered
05182022 - Email from Indian confirming my order
06232022 - Website Updated with shipping range

So for me (2022 Springfield Dark Horse) it took a little over a month (I think 41 days) to go from Ordered to having a Shipping range.

The shipping ranges are a bit all over the map too....some folks have like a 2 week range, and others have about a 2 month range.

It may hold true I dunno... you blew my Scout theory right out of the water because I know a few of us Scout platforms have a July 10 - 31st build date. The chief might be close enough to the scout that they put you in the mix or vice versa.
He said Chieftain.

I'm hoping his ship date range holds...since a Chieftain is close enough to a Springfield...which I ordered.

my buddy have a Springfield Darkhorse on order saying shipping should be sometime in august

Yeah...my shipping range is 7/27 to 8/31. I was just hoping I might get lucky and it would ship early....I know that based on all the data in this thread that I should have let go of that a long time ago. But as they say...hope springs eternal! It would be great to get it by the end of July, which is probably highly unlikely.

I was roaming around the dealership today looking for a helmet and my salesman Eric called out to me “Diesel, it just shipped”. It is going directly from Spirit Lake Iowa factory to Elmhurst IL. He said it will be here in a couple days. I am going to do 500 mile break-in service and then get parts installed on the 1st. Then leaving for a road trip on it out east on the 4th.

They had like 6 bobbers and a Rogue on the floor today, I assume they are special orders. I like that this dealership has a separate building for service.

What are the mods that you plan to do?

I plan to do the 500 miles bone stock and see what I think I need.

The current potential list is...

Debadge the tank
Handlebar bag
Backrest & Pad
LED front turn signals & headlight
Brake "pedal"
Bag organizer shelf

I think there are both good and bad actors doing the same thing. We have venders trying to ship us components, and haggling a bit on the exact amount as they try to keep everyone happy. But even after you settle on a number...that number might not show up. And it's not always because they are trying to pull a fast one. Many times, they too are relying on other items/raw materials, and they are truly expecting to send you "25" of whatever. Well...they get shorted, so then they short you. Fun times.
