2022 Challenger Dark Horse Icon Stealth Gray/Azure Crystal
Ordered: 1/18/2022
Originally quoted to be delivered 4/1 - 4/30/2022
Scheduled last week of January 2022
Ship Date: Portal shows: 8/2 - 8/31
Seattle, WA

Sent Indian an email today asking for any updates to my delivery timeline as my ship date, as others have noted, has shifted backwards AND forwards over the last 8 months.
I got a call from Graham at Owners Connect an hour or so later who left a voicemail that said the following (some paraphrasing of my own):
'Essentially I'm seeing internally that your bike has a ship date of 7/15 - 7/31 so what that means in that in the next few days, or today even, the bike will be assigned a shipment and leave from one of our distribution centers. It can take a few days to actually ship and then transit time to your dealership can be give or take two weeks.
As far as I can tell, we're getting close to it actually leaving for delivery.'

I know there's a few folks on this thread also waiting on Challenger Icons as well, just wanted to update the group. It ain't real until it's here, but this is the most progress I've had since January so it's something. It's no coaster, but I'll take it.
Are you picking yours up from Lynnwood or Auburn?

What's worse is that when I called them last Friday they told me they're still trying to hit the 7/31/22 date... when they sure as hell knew they couldn't; should have told me as much on the phone. I've been very amiable up to this point, but my kindness is waning.

My real concern has less to do with the riding season, and more to do with the situation presented for break-in. Meaning...

All of my experience in life and the material sciences would lead me to believe it's not good to ride a bike for 100 miles during break-in then have to store it for several months, then use that same break in oil after sitting for such a long time etc. This could potentially harm the longevity of the bike... so I'll be telling Indian if it arrives in late September or early October... that they can store the bike for me, FOR FREE over the winter and I'll pick it up in the Spring. Not going to play baby-games with these guys.
I know it sucks, but I would like to put a spin on this to keep some positivity in this. If you talked to them Friday, and they said that they were still trying to hit that 7/31 ship date, and there are only a couple of parts missing that to me sounds like they were waiting on a truck with the parts. They probably had plans to work overtime to get the bikes out the door, and the shipping company probably dropped the ball.

With that happening on a Friday I am sure that today they are playing catch up trying to figure out where the truck is, and when it will be there. How long it will take to get the parts on the bikes and get them out the doors. This could explain the TBD when you were told that they were working hard to hit that date. I am sure that if they told you that they were working hard to hit the date and just pushed it another month you would have been very upset as well. Stay positive and good things happen man.

And for the record I do not think that everything is sunshine and rainbows, but I do know how bad freight companies are right now, and they rarely meet a delivery when you are expecting it.
