I've seen one guy do this before, he painted the ASM., Bezel, Headlight center cover. I can't remember where I saw this if it was here, or Facebook - Indian Challenger Motorcycle Group, etc. but it looked good. I also seen someone who painted it to match the OEM paint color of the bike too.

Ok, I guess that's why we call them opinions.

 

I've thought about this as well, not because I think it's ugly, just because I'd like to see something different. But I don't think this is a better option.

 

It's your world squirrel.... meaning, it's your bike so make what makes you happy.

Sometimes photographs can not portray how it looks in real life.

 

I remember not liking the look of the fairing when they were first released. Now I love the way it looks. Subjective I suppose

 

I was the same and on the fence regarding the appearance of the fixed fairing on the Challenger when I first bought my 2020. But soon afterwards, I discovered how stable it made the bike, especially on windy days or when traveling over 90+mph. It didn't take long for me to then love the fairing, looks and all.

 

Vinyl is an option too. I'd keep it black for contrast but maybe a black metallic vinyl.

 

Here is the front of my Challenger. As you can see, I painted the bezel and the turn signal trim to match the color of the bike. It was the only way that made sense for me to do it. It is a PITA to take all those pieces and parts apart to get the clean pieces, but still not as bad as the inner fairing.

Serval custom bikes have done it. But in an accent color.

I would just buy a second one and have it painted. That surround is actually fairly cheap

 

I feel like painting it to try and make it look less like a 'cyclops', makes it look more like a 'cyclops'.

Kinda gives it a 90s space age/euro look🫤.
