Any recommendations for a wind deflector to attach to windshield?

My situation is that I have a 2022 Super Chief Limited. I have tried 3 different versions of the Freedom Shield and ended up going with the shortest of the three I tried. It was a close call but all of them still left me with some wind buffeting. I'm considering putting a universal wind deflector sort of thing on my windshield to see if it helps any.

My current set up feels fine at 45 mph and below. As I get to 55mph and above, the wind is hitting the eyes and above on my helmet.

I already have lower wind deflectors on the bike which is what I see discussed when I tried some searches here.

I know the wind deflectors can look kind of bad on the windshield but I'm kicking around trying one out. Any recommendations on any? Thank you.

Thanks for the tip.

I have the JES deflectors already installed. I honestly can't recall if they made a big impact but I'm leaving them on. I tried 3 different freedom shields and couldn't get the sweet spot figured out. I'm pretty my air is coming from the top so I may check one of them out. I'd like to get rid of the windshield but I've found my screen (and gopro) are covered in bugs in no time that way.

The buffeting is likely coming from under the shield. Next time you are out riding, get up to the speed you experience it and hold your hand down by the front of the tank. If you feel the air pushing up on your hand, then you know where your problem is. If it's coming from under the shield, there isn't a windshield that will cure that and you will need to get some kind of fork deflectors.

Thanks for the note. I already have the JES wind deflectors on the bike. I've played around with trying to feel where the air is coming from. Pretty sure in my case it's bouncing off the top of the windshield.

Similar to what Joegopher above stated. Look for the actual area the turbulence is coming from. If is hard to find by just moving your hand around. Tie or hold onto a small piece of ribbon. This will show you the extent of the wind and how violent it really is in the suspect areas. This will help you narrow down your problem. Don't need to waste money on a solution that won't improve the situation or make it worse.

As noted, I already have tried other windshields and I have JES wind deflectors on the bottom. I'm not sure what other solution people think I'm going to try if further testing finds it's coming from below. What would those be?

When I crouch down behind the windshield, no buffeting. Don't feel the wind hitting me up the helmet either. If I stick my head back up, wind buffeting pushing backwards. I'm not sure why this doesn't narrow down that the wind is coming from over the windshield or why it wouldn't be coming from there as an obvious source. The windshield creates "friction" with the wind and I'd like to try a wind deflector.

I appreciate the thoughts...but does anyone have a recommendation for a wind deflector for the windshield?

Yes, because I'm the first person every in the history of motorcycles with a windshield and discussing wind buffeting. I'm the first person taking 5+ hour trips that thinks, hey, it might be a good idea to have a windshield up to take wind off me. But that's just my the sarcastic part of me making this response.

Are you asking about something that clamps onto the windshield itself, like on top, the sides, and/or bottom?

Maybe one of these: Amazon.com : motorcycle windshield extension
Yes sir, thinking something on the top. I looked on Amazon and there were so many that had very mixed reviews (some good/some bad) that I thought I'd check here. Certainly I can't be the only one experimenting so thought there may be some leads here. Thank you.

As you're riding down the road at speed, put your hand up to your forehead. (like you're trying to shield your eyes from the sun) Then slowly raise and lower your hand. You will find where the wind is hitting.

Appreciate the note, but I've already noted that I already have the deflectors from JES on my bike.

I ran with one of the universal visors for the top of the windshield that didn't do much for me on any of my bikes. I put lowers onto my Suzuki and had to move them so they were overlapping the windshield a bit to get the buffeting to stop. See if the lowers you have can be adjusted to go up higher and see if that helps.
