Motorcycle Lift Table | GSES

Besides my own machines, I have had (literally!) hundreds of other bikes in my lift from Greg Smith. They sell 'em in different lengths, with & without rear end "drop-out" sections.

And whatever table lift you get, you should treat yourself to a Wheel Dock Indian Wheel Chock Just ride on, step on the lever and get off. The only down side is that they are front wheel width specific. What works for a Chief will be too narrow for a Roadmaster. What works for a Roadmaster WILL work for a Chief, but it will be too narrow for many other brands & models of motorcycles.

It looks very nice, BUT can it pick up a bike that doesn't have horizontal frame tubes under the engine? Their copy seems to say no to that question.

Q: What model bikes other than Harley Davidson can the Lift pick up?

A: If the frame is the lowest part of the bike and is not lower than 4 inches, our lift can pick up your bike. We have an adapter available for those models that have fairings or other obstructions that hang below the frame. i.e. the Harley Davidson Softail bike which has horizontal shocks. The adapter does not make the Lift able to pick up a bike lower than 4 inches, it only allows you to set either the front, back or if you have two adapters, both sides of the frame above the lifting fork arms where the obstruction hangs below the frame.

I agree with you Mucker, but there are many jacks on the market that have been modified to pick up our bikes and the discussions and advise that has been posted here is what has led me to believe it would not take much imagination or time to make this an awesome shop tool for the Indian motorcycles.

Agreed, Wyobob44. With American ingenuity, anything is possible. (And some of you other guys beyond our shores are said to be pretty talented as well. ;) )

In the category of "for what it's worth", I've got a J&S lift, with the Indian adapter, that I use when I need to remove the front wheel and it works very well. But for everything other job, my pride & joy goes on a table lift because table lifts are ALWAYS more stable than any lift that picks up the bike from under the engine.

As i my case, both bikes are currently serviced on my Handy BOB lift in my shop, but after seeing the Ultimate Cycle lift in person and talking with the designer and builder i became impressed with the lift and can see uses in my shop, especially detailing of the wheels cause my artificial knees do not like extended kneeling, “some times the fun of youth haunts the older”

I went into a HD dealer in Leesburg , fl , and right inside the front door was a bike on display on a Harbor Freight ,$299 cycle lift.
If you live in a subdivision you have to try to impress your neighbors and chances are you won't use your $1800 lift for anything other than polishing or an oil change.
I had a Honda 3000iu generator for $2000 , sold it and bought a Harbor Freight 3500 inverter for $689. More features and built better......shameless.

I brought a Handy 1200 SAM with the drop out rear panel and side extensions for my ATV. I got he Low Boy lift and the tire clamp. Cost 2543$. The tire clamp does not work on the big fender Chieftain, so I just mounted my Wheel Chock to the deck. 1200 lb. capacity. Don't piss around with some spindly lift that you have to modify. Buy a real lift made in Sully, Iowa USA. And the price you pay includes shipping. In my case Turkey Rock, Colorado.

In addition to more stability, a table lift gives you a place to lay out tools while working on the bike.

I didn't know that the Chieftain has a different fender than the Roadmaster. I guess I was lucky regarding the Handy tire clamp. I built wood side extensions for my Handy so I have a place to put my feet when I drive onto the lift. I use the lift as my parking place sort of getting two uses out of one. I found that I can release the tire clamp two revolutions of the crank and the bike still can't fall over. So I just drive onto the lift and into the clamp and get off and tighten the crank two revolutions. When I raise the lift, I disconnect the straps to the deck that stabilize the wooden extensions and move them out of the way. I can't say I've ever needed the metal permanently attached extensions. I don't own an ATV. The photo was taken before I added the straps.

I use a harbor freight 1500lb unit.
Added a wheeldock wheel chock.
The wheeldock wheel chock is a really robust unit.
A nice feature because of the rear hydraulic closing cleat. Basically pull bike up and step on pedal.
You are imediately clamped secure
My machine being 820lbs i am more comfortable riding it onto lift.
I use car ramps along side each side of lift to make it wide enough to place feet.
I know it sounds a bit hokey but I am very confident putting bike up or down with mentioned.

Only minor complaint with the Harbor Freight lift is securing the front wheel. The included wheel clamp is sketchy

Once secured with straps I find the lift works well. No noticeable instability.

I purchased a new wheel chock so that should make it easier to load the bike.

I also have a Harbor fFeight scisor jack. This works great for cleaning the wheels.

If I had a repair shop I would buy a better quality lift. But no more than I use it the Harbor Freight lift works fine.

If you plan on parking your bike on the lift, get the Condor wheel chock vs the wheel vise clamp. I had a vise to start with, but it was PITA to park the bike on the lift, get off, have to balance the bike with one hand, while tightening the clamp with the other hand. Also, if they make extensions for the sides (to make the ramp wider), you're going to want those too. If you ride up w/o the extensions, there's no place to put your feet...unless you're very tall and can reach the floor with your feet.

I just installed the WheelDock onto my Handy BOB air lift and what a great replacement for the wheel vice, Man ride onto the lift, tap the release lever with your left toe and the bike is locked into place, and the release and removal is just as easy. I want to acknowledge my wife for insisting that i put a Wheel Dock on to the lift.
