So, I installed new bars on my base model. I am now getting a P0227 and a P1227 code. Thought I may have damaged the harness, so I ordered a new harness, and it is still doing it. Has anyone else had this issue? Don't know if this a code that clears automaticaly, or if it is something the dealer has to clear. Bike still revs, but I don't want to risk riding it until I know for sure. Does it need to be re-calibrated or something? Or did I screw up two harnesses? I don't see any damaged wires, but that doesn't mean there isn't any damage inside the sheathing.

I found my issue. I had a cable caught between the plastic housing on the right hand controls. I checked the cables still looked good and were not cut or frayed and ensured they were routed correctly and the codes were automatically cleared.

I just had this today..3/24/21
Reinstalled my bars. Got same code. Should I take off sw covers..re-route wires? Or see if it clears? Thanks
