I would like to see pictures of average Gas mileage and average speed, at 80 MPH or faster. I've asked a few people and when I looked at their display their average was around 70 mph. I know I get better mileage at 70. I want to know what you get when your running 85 mph from point a to b only slowing down to pull into the station or pass. Harder to get 80 average than I thought. I was in South Dakota on interstate for the first time to be able to get an average speed that fast. I was at 83 until I pulled in and up to the pump.

I don’t have pics but when I picked up my 2019 Chieftain mid July in Omaha, NE and rode it back to Longmont, CO in a day I averaged 42-44mpg for the about 450 miles of interstate at 80ish mph. I set the cruise control at just above 80 the whole trip back. No wind, moderate traffic so I didn’t really have to touch the throttle much most of time. Just signal, pass the truck, signal back over.

No pics.
I do a lot of 80mph riding mostly 1 up. At that speed I get about 33mpg average. It really starts to drink the gasoline fairly heavily at 75mph and above.

i did a road test on a trip where I nearly ran outa gas. After filling up, I was curious and ran five-minute increments at 5mph increments. It went from 44mpg at 70 down to 36 mpg at 85. This was on straigth-and-level roadway on I-10 in Texas during the morning with no wind. Pretty good real-world test.
