Summer Riding Event For Indian Motorcycle Riders. Registration is $25 per person ($40 per couple) and includes cook-out, guided rides, and prizes.

We will change the Host Hotel but the event will definitely be held in Cherokee, NC. The 44th Annual Cherokee Nation 4th of July Pow Wow takes place the following weekend. Hotels may fill up fast. Space is limited.

There's no place like The Great Smokey Mts in North Carolina/Tennessee, declared "America's Best Riding". Stellar rides very near by (Tail of the Dragon, for one).

Some things in planning:
- guided rides every day
- bonfire and cookout
- Sat. night dinner extravaganza
- Smudging of the Bikes
- Tribal Hunting Party (scavanger hunt contest)
- possible motorcycle portraits (depending on available "studio space")
- and much more!

Registration fee – $30 for individuals, $45 per couple. Shirts will soon be available for you to order directly from a website, as will registration. Again, this year, we will have a private tour of Wheels Through Time Museum with a catered BBQ lunch. Cost for that will be extra and available when registration is open. All proceeds above costs will go to a local charity.

That said, I certainly hope to be there. We had a great time last year. I didn't mind the hotel we stayed at.

Very familiar with the destination area, very new to the Indian brand.

Hot in the valley, yes. But our rides are all at elevation where you may need a jacket. Most of the congestion is down in the casino district, not where we will be. Last year was excellent and not congested at all.

To me the Pros far outweigh the cons - so come on out!!

Sorry, but the planning committee decided to change the date back to our original plan - Thu, June 27 - Sun, June 30. Early arrivals and late departures to be accommodated, meaning activities Wed (jun 26) thru Mon (Jul 1).

This year we will NOT coincide with the Cherokee Nation Pow Wow (Jul 4-7), due to expenses, schedules, and crowds.

So I was just wondering approximately how many bikes are attending this? And if another venue would even be possible...I clicked streetview on Google maps Cherokee, NC and this image popped right up! A Roadmaster! I think that's a sign that Cherokee is the destined destination.

Thank you. At a rally in SC right now but will set up PayPal registration next week. Also flyers and paper registration for those who don't use PayPal.

Probably not the same hotel. Not confirmed yet but we are looking at a hotel that has a pool and hot tub, near the previous place. That will also be confirmed next week.

Cherokee was chosen by the planning committee for several reason. Indian to the Cherokee motorcycles are respectfully akin to the Cherokee Nation. Venue will not change.

Last year we had 55 bikes ( 2 HDs ) and 65 registrants. Year before that 40 bikes, 45 registrants. We hope to be close to 100 this year. We are growing but do not wish to become a mega-rally. The spirit of the PowWow is one of discovery, brotherhood, sisterhood, Indian motorcycles, familes, children, etc. We wish to be organized but not over organized - the spirit of adventure and discovery,
