@Darkimedes has been foiled again. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
That happened last year a bunch. I think it was @Cameroni79 that beat me by 30 minutes three times. I did it to him as well.
I would have posted a duck at almost the exact same time, so 🤷🏻‍♂️

And I know right where a one lane underpass is, so 🤪

It happened to me last year as well, twice in one day in fact. If I recall correctly the third time was a charm, with a rabbit. When I posted the duck the first time it showed the first picture for me so I thought only the second had failed to upload. Cell service wasn't the best at the pond. When I stopped again in Frederick, I noticed neither picture had come through.

Sure would. We were neck and neck for a while there.

Still close this time. My scheduler at work is a moron. So often I don’t have anything to do- and the boss doesn’t seem to want to correct the issue despite my salary being almost twice the hourly guys. Not running out at the drop of a hat this year, as it might not look kosher.
If it’s not raining after my side job tomorrow- I’ll get that underpass. Otherwise gotta wait until Sunday.

Fair warning. I live 5 miles from one. I’m trying to win this year!

Going back to the topic of speeding the game up. What do y'all think about having 2 or 3 active targets at a time?
we do have two active targets, plus the missed ones- don’t forget the side quest.
Last year I finished with 52. I’m at 4 right now, although I believe we have fewer players. And it’s still no riding season for a lot of the country. I am located in San Diego- so I get to ride year round.

Funny you should ask, I thought about suggesting that each target could be found by up to 3 people and using a point system: First find is worth 5 points, second person to find it gets 2 and the third gets 1/2 point. The first person still issues the next challenge and cannot claim any of the three finds for it. It would allow more people to post their finds, get some credit for it, but still incentivize being the first and would possibly create more open challenges (the 2nd and 3rd finds).

But then I thought, WTF make things harder and who would want to track all that shit. I mean, I may volunteer to do it, but only if everyone really wanted to change up the hunt. Maybe something for '24.

Hah! Yes. I think the allure is the simplicity and the fact that a member is willing to run the game on their own time. Additional complications aren’t really necessary.

you’re already handling the member/hunt map. Now you wanna run he hunt? You must be retired… 😛. With as much work as I get scheduled for, I almost am, but with a regular paycheck.
Thinking about starting another thread, just for kind of like a Bio for those playing. A selfie and a bike pic, location, etc. Tinder without the hookups.

Sketchy road in new kent county Virginia. Single lane underpass. This road gets so narrow that I ride through the turns at about 10 mph to avoid oncoming hunting trucks.
Plant Road surface Asphalt Rolling Road

Next up is going to be an Indian pursuit. Must be in addition to your bike.

Just for luck, here is another odd sign. I am not sure how well my juvenile interpretation will translate outside England but they could, crudely (in every sense) be read as “virile sex-act”!

This was also part of my quick ride around local roads, in a unmissable break in the weather. These stone signs are at the entrance to the village:
