2023 Pursuit Limited Premium -- Slight handle bar wobble on deceleration or letting go of bars

Hey all, new 2023 Pursuit owner here.. This is my first Indian, coming off a 2018 HD Road Glide Ultra and prior to that a 2014 Road Glide. The bike rides and handles amazing and you truly do forget you're on a 915+lb motorcycle both at slow/high speeds and feel myself wanting to dip into turns like I do on my Ducati 1198.. One thing I did notice is on deceleration (just letting off the throttling not breaking) that there is a slight shake in the handlebars. Can barely notice it with both hands gripped but if I come off the bars at all I can visually see and feel it. Not sure if this is something with normal, the Metzler tires, etc. but I don't think its a balancing issue because I don't really feel it with both hands on the bars its more when I'm slowing down coming to a light, etc. Everything else about the bike is so smooth so this is standing out, otherwise absolutely love this thing and was sold the first minute of the test drive. Please let me know if anyone else has experienced anything similar. Thanks in advance.

UPDATE: Found a related thread: Wobble and USB/GPS

I had something similar with my Chieftain when I was delivering my bike to service and taking off bags and all rear rack and a passenger backrest = heavy stuff, and I forget to let the air from the rear shock to proper pressure. The rear was too stiff. Then I correct the pressure-all good, no wobbling.
If I take my hands off the bars while the bike is decelerating I notice the bars start to shake and get progressively worse. I made a note to self not to let go of the bars ;)

It could be alignment of the rear wheel but haven't had the time to look into it.

yeah this sounds exactly like what I'm experiencing. When I bring it in for 500mi service going to bring it up to them and see what they say. I dont often let go of the bars but dont like the idea that if I do I could get myself into a tank slap scenario haha. Will update the thread if the dealer can find any issue/remedy. Thanks
The described phenomena happens and it happens with lots of bikes.
It hurts my fingers to type this but, to some extent, they all do that - Harleys, Metrics, etc.

Check your tyre pressures, Had a similar thing. either too much or not enough (Can't remember which, sorry).
Could be also tire balance or tire defect...

Could be the wheel weights. My wheel weights literally fell off the front wheel sitting in my warehouse after they installed my new front rim. They did not clean the protective R&O oil off the finish before installing the weights so they didn't stick very well.
I have seen this complaint quite a bit from pursuit owners, including someone I know.

It could be a number of things

Tires, wheel alignment, neck bearings, weight distribution, etc.

But I see the complaint quite a bit on Pursuits and almost never on Challengers. I am wondering if the tour pack and weight distribution is the common cause. My Challenger is dead straight and no wobble at any speed.

I have an Indian trunk on my Challenger and haven’t noticed any wobble at any speed.

I have no issues with my Pursuit and occasionally ride one handed and no handed. Met a guy with a Pursuit when I was in Daytona in March who had the wobble and asked if I had it. His didn’t have the Electronic adjustable suspension but mine does. I wonder if there is a correlation?

I have the electronic adjustable suspension on mine and the wobble is very noticeable when declerating from 40 mph to 35 mph. However, it doesn't do it at at higher speeds (50 mph and up) which is kinda weird 😕.

My Wife and I both have a 2006 Yamaha Road star. My wife started to mention this phenonmen to me about her bike. I took it for a ride and at first didn't really know but I kept going around town and I was experiencing just that you described. As soon as you embrace the handlebars it kind of just goes away, but it is hinting at it. I worked for a Yamaha dealer at the time and his brother worked privately but for a Yamaha dealer for over 20 years so I asked him his opinion. He said to let him look at it. He got the bike off the ground and assessed the fork and triple tree and neck bearings. He tightened the neck bearings just a touch and he has a feel for what is right. Left there with problem resolved and bike handled freely!
