I know for the fairing speakers with Powerband the amps are built into the speakers so you just basically replace the fairing speakers and you get an amp upgrade at the same time

If you replace the speakers with the power band speakers that Indian sells you also get the amplifier upgrade built-in to the speakers.

Along with the upgrade to the nine been equalizer.

But it only works on 2019 models and newer.

So, interesting question, and I actually did that first, but I had to disconnect my trunk speakers (which is super easy). The audio was significantly better from the front of the bike when I did this, BUT I was missing the full effect, so I added them to the trunk too (which was even easier than the front of the bike. I don't like riding with the trunk all the time, so I will go with the Powerband lids with 6 1/2 speakers. So when I ride with the trunk, I will have 6 speakers and without have 4. I like music when I am riding and so does my passenger. Anyway, the answer is yes, but you will give up the trunk speakers to get that effect unless you upgrade them too.
Interesting. So if you just upgrade the front speakers nothing changes?
