I am installing the Boss Audio MCBK470B speakers onto my 2020 Indian Chief Darkhorse, and I am having a problem with the wiring. I decided to wire it to the accessory port on under the seat so it would power the amp on and off whenever the bike was turned on. Since I didn't have the plug that the accessory port uses, I just snipped off the head and made the connection directly to the amp wires. After I got it all wired together, though, the amp is not powering up when the bike comes on.

Is there something I need to do to get power going to that port? I tested with a voltage tester and didn't get any reading on the accessory port wire at all, but I am not sure my non-contact tester would reliably register that low of voltage.

Here is the port that I removed:

And here it is with the amp connected:

Did you make sure its wired properly? Grey is positive, black negative. Also, check the fuse for the amp. Remember the bike needs to be turned it for it to power up.
