This is not an Indian wheel but it shows how the TPMS sensor sits inside.

I'm stumped! maybe something to do with casting the wheel? I would think it should have a plug though! Ask the wheel manufacturer.

There is a machined slot in the wheel where the TPMS sits into. I never measured it, but I would guess that it is 3/32" to 1/8" deep.

This hole is necessary to get the sand of the core out of the spoke, after casting.

Sand cores are usually used to get hole structures during casting.

The difference with the rimlock hole is that it goes all the way through so you can bolt it up when the tire is in place. The TPMS hole doesn't go right through.
